What do people on here think about getting Veszpremi. I remember him playing some pretty good footy for the Swans as a goal shark and high half forward. In the mould of Mark LeCras.

His past couple of seasons have been ruined by injury and hence a drop in form/confidence

Is he worth a punt? Maybe a trade with Sydney or Pre Season draft. Could get him reasonably cheaply i would say and would be worth a punt

interesting idea, ive never seen him play but know he was a high draft pick. i remember he tanked his draft interview with adelaide because he didnt want to go there, would he want to go further west? i guess at this stage he would just want to play...

He cant get a game at Sydney because he only wants to go one way.

Arent we carrying enough blokes already?
Perhaps he could be a McKinley.. no defensive aspects, asked to work on them, does and forgets how to kick a goal.

I like Pat - good player to watch.

Powerful small utility with good hurt factor - likes to take the game on and make long plays (carry the ball and kick long) and kick goals.

Injury and fitness are the big question marks over him.

I've read he's still contracted for another year at Sydney - so he'd need to be traded (can't grab him in the PSD) - if he does seek a trade it would most likely be with a Melbourne based team. Even if he did I wouldn't want a trade that adds another injury-prone player to our list (unless he comes very cheap) - we have enough as it is.

McKinley knows how to kick goals. His games came in a period when he had 3 other key forwards around him. Still outscored Lynch by double with half hte games and is probably on a higher average than Kennedy after his dry spell...

I like him ... but I think he wouldn't come anywhere near as cheap as what you think he would. Young goal kicking half forward/midfielders are hard to come across - I would be happy if he only cost us a 2nd rounder.

LeCras - 62 goals, 20 games, 3.1 goals per game
Kennedy - 40 goals, 21 games, 1.9 goals per game
McKinley - 16 goals, 10 games, 1.6 goals per game

Our top 3 forwards. No one else comes even close. Strijk 11 from 9 and Wilson 5 from 2 are the the only other players averaging more than 1 goal per game for us in 2010.

I think McKinley has been shafted. Lynch should have been given the arse a long time ago and McKinley given a proper run at FF.

There is a reason he doesnt get a game at the Swans, and believe me, he hasnt been injured the whole time.

Roosy is no fool and if he gives a kid 10 games in 3 seasons, with the kid being available for many more... there is a reason.
