Still a lot of whispers going around that Bower won't play because of his quad. I really hope they are wrong.

Well okay then. I was going by the club's rookie list web page - not having seen him in the flesh to judge for myself.
White's weight was listed as 98 kgs in The Age, but they also listed Carrazzo's height as 187 cms. :o

Didn't they watch Carrazzo play full back on Mark Williams? ;)

Walker played on Croad a few years back, so bulk might be overrated if you can read the play and use your athleticism to avoid one on one contests.

White looks like he has some mongrel in his profile picture.

Butter wouldn't melt in the mouth of most of Richmond's players.

They didn't even fight back and support each other after we targeted Cousins with great bumps.

At least we stuck up for Gibbs.

Much worse I'm afraid.......it's the BF and SEN rumour mill.:p

If it was an actual strain, why would they name him knowing full well he wouldn't come up? I know clubs like to keep the opposition guessing as much as possible, but this rumour has been around since Saturday morning.

Why did we name Jamo four weeks straight and pull him out each week last year?

He was on the plain to Brisbane, they wouldn't take a soft tissue injured player on the plane if he wasn't a 100% chance to play. They certainly wouldn't do it as a publicity stunt (to fool people into thinking he is playing), so the only reason he was on the plane yesterday would be because he is playing.

If its a quad strain, and only a minor one, depending on which part of the quad it is, he could play no probs. Would feel a little sore running but wouldn't be hampered as per a calf or hamstring type injury.

They may be hoping (if its true) that it has improved tonight, enough for him to get through, so that with the 9 day break to our next game he will come up for it and not miss.:thumbsu:

If you remember back to Rattens first 6 games as caretaker, Fev had a "4-6 week" quad injury in Brissie......played the season out, though slightly limited at times.

Heartening to hear...I figured through experience that anything quad related was more debilitating and that we would be looking at 2-3 weeks at a minimum. We also can't forget that Bower is carved from New Zealand greenstone...one tough and durable hombre.
