Apparently he's made it through pre-season without injury for the first time in his career. He's as fit as he's ever been, and has put on 3 kg of muscle. He is quoted as saying
"I'm in the best shape of my life, and cherry ripe for the start of the year. I just hope to keep working on my skills and fitness, but will be taking it one week at a time"
He is looked upon as a "project player", and doubts whether he will crack the Crows lineup this year, but is looking forward to playing some good footy with the Port Adelaide Magpies, who selected him with the first pick of the mini-draft.
He is, however, disappointed that he now has to live by himself:
"I was really looking forward to sharing a place with my old mate Loz Angwin, but apparently he's pissed off somewhere. I have to do all the cooking and cleaning myself, and there's no-one to drive me home from the pub"
