Do these 2 sleep with their lights on? Have to be the 2 most overrated footballers in Fremantle Club History.

If Peake gets a game next week I will be disgusted, would struggle to break into the East Freo midfield at the moment.

Harvey should have stapled him to MacMahon and said stop him getting the ball.

Mundy has been great this year and today he certainly wasn't the worst.

Peake has never shown anything other than that he can run.

Mundy has been up and down this year sabre, not great, not consistent. And today, watching live, I don't know how many times he can expect to give his man space and get away with it. He also chased with no commitment or effort, all he does is occasionally deliver the ball well. But for a 4th year player you need more than that.

Peake I agree with.

Thornton should not have been out there, poor skills and if the ball hits the deck looks lost. Drum has to get a game. Ibbo?

Don't know if they sleep with the light on, but after today's game, I reckon they sit down to "wee" and wipe 'emselves afterwards.

I am convinced Mundy has no second gear. He's a one paced footballer. When he chases and wants to look like he's going faster his head bobs up and down more but he's not running any faster.

He must not be blessed with any fast twitch fibres.

Mundy has always had quick players burn away from him. Leg speed is just not his thing. Quick thinking and use of football especially by foot is, but he just didn't work hard enough to get it today. Still think he was one of Freo's better players in the first half when most of the team seemed asleep.

Peake just didn't get the ball enough and when he did, half the time he used it to no advantage or turned it over, and is always a bit of a defensive liability, so yea fair enough on him.

I want to know how J.Carr didn't make your list. I know stats aren't everything, but 9 touches from one of our premier ball winners and 0 tackles when the Richmond had the ball in their hands twice as much as the Dockers - 'nuf said.

Josh Carr isn't afraid of contact. These to would have went down quicker than Adam Hunter trying to stand up to Barry Hall.

Been saying it all year - Peake is crap. Utterly useless. He is fast - wow, who cares? Its not like he uses it to advantage. Doesn't chase, just leaves his man to run forward and goal or deliver into the 50 without pressure. Hardly ever breaks the lines himself and when he finally does normally turns the pill over, burning us on the way back...

Mundy is as soft as butter but unfortunately is one of our best disposals...

A side can carry one princess not 2 or more.

Mundy can stay (for now). Peake HAS TO GO!!!!!!

The club need to get out of this mentality of playing the same blokes.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.

Becoming bored with the ascertation that we have a talented side. We do not.

You can 'contact' all you want, if you don't have the ball and don't pressure properly (thus allowing the oposition 150+ more disposals), then you're not going to win a game of football. When one of the hardest in & under players on the list only comes away with the pill 9 times & can't lay a tackle when the opposition had the ball in their hands all day, then he's obviously having a bad day.

J.Carr is a legend, love to have him in the club and he is a walk up start, champion of th club. Today (only) he was about as bad as Mundy and Peake, that's all I'm pointing out.

Mundy is much, much worse live. It's understandable that Braedesman is his biggest fan living in Adelaide. His lack of urgency is embarrassing.

Peake I agree with.
Like Mundy he cruises around looking for cheap possessions. How shit are the two of tehm when the opposition have the ball, it looks like they'd rather pretend to be applying pressure than actually getting goal side and stopping their man from getting the ball.

Ibbo?
Ibbo is like the two players mentioned above, a soft, outside, front running receiver who applies nothing in the way of defensive pressure. Out Peake, In Brock.

Mundy wasn't alone in not chasing, but is badly exposed when you continually see his man run from him easily.

Oi dom unfair ;) I watch almost all the games that they play here and I don't see anything too much wrong with him. His lack of urgency is something he can work on.. but if Dal Santo can get a game for StKilda and not get much criticism, Mundy should too.

Mundy just gives up - if he gets burnt off in the first 5m he gives up the ghost. He was deplorable on the weekend.

FFS We get it already, stop going into every thread and bagging Mundy.

The guy hits a target.

He is one of a handful of players that can in our side.

Surely the negatives out weigh the positives at present with Mundy though Sabre? He applies nothing in the way of defensive pressure, doesn't win his own footy, doesn't chase, can't tackle and takes very, very few contested marks.

When we get belted out of the middle Peake and Mundy are absolutely useless. I'd play them in the WAFL then bring them back in if we start winning. Andrew Browne would be much more valuable than Peake because he'll atleast go hard at the ball and can tackle.

When things are going wrong like they did Sunday we need to go one on one, guys who are unaccountable and can't tackle aren't much good in that situation.

Don't put Mundy in the same category as Peake. There's one crucial difference between them - disposal. Peake's is awful, Mundy's is often sublime. Someone in this thread said that Mundy was as soft as butter but had the best skills in the team. I pretty much agree with this.

About watching him live, I have been doing this a lot (being his buddy) and I will say that I haven't been impressed with his work-rate overall in the round 2 and round 4 games. Curiously, he got a heap of the ball in round 1 and round 3 (25 and 26 touches) but much less in our actual home games. I still counted 3 occasions on the weekend when he kicked the ball inside 50 - one of those hit Tarrant on the chest leading to his one and only goal. We also know that Mundy can kick a goal on the run from 50. Like others, I would like to see him playing forward a bit more. Sometimes he lines up on the edge of the centre square, but I don't think he'll ever be a clearance player.

Comparison of Mundy and Peake statistically in 2008:

Mundy: 9 kicks, 9 handballs, 5 marks, 0.5 goals, 2 tackles per game.

Peake: 7 kicks, 6 handballs, 3.5 marks, 0.2 behinds, 2 tackles per game.

So Mundy has had more of the ball, kicked more goals, taken more marks, and I'm absolutely certain that he's hit more targets with his kicks, and yet Cameron_K and others want to lump him in the same basket as Peake.

Peake should be dropped, Mundy told (as Nightfury would say) to eat a bag of cement. :thumbsu:
