Freo must be working him hard because when I was there before Christmas he had puppy-fat arms

Saw him in tank top at Kardinya Shopping Centre - thought same thing that he needs a bit of AFL conditioning.

Also guys a good way to follow the WAFL games live on your phone is to download the Footy Live app. You can choose between all of the state leagues also and it gives you live scores and live stats for each individual player as well. I stumbled across it last year and its very handy

Probably a realistic chance that Nyhuis and maybe Deluca will play in the ressies. Hughes, O'Brien and Walsh will surely play in the seniors, and that leaves Deluca, Nyhuis, Morris and Lawler fighting for the final spot on the bench.

Also interesting that they seem to have shuffled the jumper numbers a bit so that more of the Freo guys have the same number as they do for Fremantle.

Nice to see Josh Simpson giving it another go and turning out for East Freo this season. Would be great if he can put in a season where he puts himself in a position to be listed again.

I've read on these boards several times that Josh has zero chance of ever getting back into the Docker's squad - is that from a reliable source and written in stone, or is it only the most likely outcome / most commonly-heard gossip?

Don't mean to flog a dead horse here, I just always regretted that Josh couldn't get his head in the right place whilst at Freo - the guy has such massive talent.

We are on a forum where most give opinions or tell rumours, so from what I heard at the time his papers were stamped when he didn't turn up for the flight as an emergency. Broke team codes and all that, is it true who knows.
I wish him all the best as well as he is talent

It was Bushie who had the drum on Josh's situation and he did say Josh would not be rookied by Freo about the time of his delisting and that it was unlikely The Yalgoo Flash would play for us in the future.More to do with the physical demands and family complications.
However nothing stays the same and this may be the first instance in Bigfooty history where Bushie has been seen to get something wrong.
I would love it to happen.

Surprised to see Hughes even on the interchange bench considering his improvement last year. Guess it does not necessarily indicate much nowadays but still a surprise.

I wouldn't read too much into that. Your best 18 don't all have to start on the field necessarily. It'd also be a very tall back line with him in there as well (4 over 190cm already) - needed Clancee and Grey to bring the average height down. Plus I wouldn't be surprised if Hughes rotated through the midfield more for Peel this year. I'm a big fan of Hughes - think he is going to be a great player for us once he's developed a bit more.

If Roger Hayden Anthony Rock and David Hale and even Suma are there I am sure the Peel team will be well looked after. Without those guys then coaching on the day would have to be a worry.

Yes and he kicked the most Goals for us in the NAB Challenge and has worked very hard all summer and deserves the spot.
