Just a concern , dont think S&c make them do it. Something need to review for a better pre season cant go on like this. Do we recruit this s&c team from gold coast , look like freo having same type/numbers of injuries.

Shane was reported for a gut punch. Hopefully a fine and a warning but I don't think the club would be happy about putting himself in that situation with our lack of healthy players. Clancee injured and Deluca a non contributor. All in all not a great week end for Peel and Freo.

Absolutely nothing to like about today's game. The report on Yarran seemed like a severe overreaction by the umpire to me but I didn't have a great view of the incident. I was a bit disappointed with the way Yarran played, he was by far the most talented aerialist in the Peel forward line but I didn't see him contest any pack marks. I'd love to see him flying for a mark or two a la James Sicily but he seemed more inclined to wait for the crumbs. He showed the odd spark in general play but otherwise it was a quiet game for him. He cleverly sharked a ruck contest inside the F50 early in the first qtr and I thought he might add a bit of heat to a pretty chilly day but it wasn't to be.

He's not a pack mark he's a lead up player.

Re Yarran:

The commentators on 91.3FM thought the umpires over reacted. Percy Johnson's immediate response was: "You can't report someone for that!" and Brian Dawson said Yarran shouldn't have much worry about over the incident but thought that being reported might affect how he played out the rest of the game.

They both were of the opinion that he was being starved of opportunities to show much in the forward line and that he could have been moved into the midfield during the 2nd half to get him into the game.
