At a couple of months of months short of his 35th birthday too if you don't mind.

I find the current thread on BF main board ablett best mid ever quite funny as Buckley was having those games in a Collingwood side that had even less natural talent all be it as shit in the late 90s.

Buckley used to get 35+ kick 4-5 goals with partner in crime Williams also managing it a few times too.

Best mid in the comp. If you disagree, get stuffed.

Has been my number 1 since Bucks retired. If he had pace, the ACCC (or some more relevant government body) would need to step in and ban him from playing because it would basically be unfair on the rest of the competition. His lack of pace is basically the only thing that keeps him back with the mortals.

Knew he would be a superstar of biblical proportions from Game 1.

The Williams steal was almost literally the handing of the torch from 1 former Collingwood no.10 to the next one.

Needs to be our cpatain from next year onwards.

The Matrix.

His game against Geelong last year was an amazing individual performance. 35 and 4 goals, not unlike Ablett's 34 and 4 against the Saints.

For me though, the goal he kicked in the first against Geelong in the 2010 Prelim is the memory burned into my brain. The crowd, the timing, the celebration from him. Goosebumps.

"PENDLEBURYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY"

Love the way this guy plays, seem to make time his own, very classy, very fair and can take the hits. Just gets up and plays the ball. Love these type of players. Reminds me of Bucks in his hey day.
