I have a suggestion to the AFL that could reduce tanking, whilst also making games between lower sides at the end of the season much more interesting..
In the Bottom 8
If two teams finish equal in wins on the ladder, the team with the higher percentage gets the higher draft pick..
For example, if Gold Coast and GWS were both on 3 wins, the team that has the highest percentage gets pick 1 in the upcoming draft..
This could also reduce the huge losses that occur regularly, as teams will be punished for being blown out of the water.
FYI: As it stands after RD 21, Port Adelaide would get a better pick than Western Bulldogs.
