Time has come to bite the bullet, and drop this guy. His leading is getting worse by the week, his goal kicking is pure rubbish the only thing he is getting better at is being caught out of position. It is really starting to annoy the hell out of me.

Er.. he was very good tonight. One of our best. Our only forward option thanks to nowhere-Welsh and buttersoft-Hentschel and had several defenders on him every time...still pulled in some good contested grabs. But yeh, shoulda had 4 or 5.

If other forwards gave us what Perrie gave us to night, we win the game. Simple as that.
Yep - agree - granted he has frustrating aspects to his game but he gets to the ball, presents himself, and provides some sort of a presence - take him out and who do you come up with?

I loved some of Perrie's effort tonight, he needs to kick more goals and take more marks but his effort is always there. I can't say that I'm too unhappy with him.

Geez some people have no idea, Perrie was the only decent forward we had tonight, where was Welsh??? Dont see anyone bagging him, I reakon people either have no idea or they have their eyes shut, we got one thread bagging Burton when he clearly played well tonight now we have this thread ripping through Perrie  What people going to say Rutten was poor too????

If you are going to critise, critise the right players at least, worst tonight would have been Welsh, Edwards, Mattner and McGregor although he did improve a bit in the 2nd half, Hentshel was poor as was Reilly and Begley. :

Yep we had a number of under performing players -probably why no one has set up the votes thread yet!!

The one weakness in Perrie's game tonight was his goal-kicking. The rest of his game was pretty good.

If you want to be critical of forwards then have a go at Welsh and Hentschel - they were the ones that let us down tonight.

Just came home from the game where a 4kg clamp nearly fell on my head FFS!

If there were people sitting in front of me, they would've been killed. Anyway, Perrie was ok (his goalkicking was a let down though) - Welsh is the one that needs to be dropped.

I think its time to give Stevo [M] a go - so someone will have to go!

Perrie (I have labelled him "The Keystone Cop") at times annoys the hell out of me, but I think people like yourself are expecting things for Perrie that just wont ever come. He isnt a Fevola, Lloyd or Gehrig type player, he is a forward pocket that we are playing in a key position because we dont have the forward line talent at this present stage. Due to this he is usually opposed to a much better defender than what he would be if we had more forward talent and Perrie was playing in his natural forward pocket position. He was our only forward tonight that offered anything, I do think next week we bring in stevo for CHF. Maybe drop welsh have Perrie in the goal square and bring in Jericho. With our flooding Jericho may be able to use his speed and we kick the ball into space and allow him to run on into the 50 to set up goals.

How can a guy who developed a reasonably accurate goal kicking routine under Jars be alloed by the coaching panel and go back to having no goal kicking routine.

This lack of a routine has been obvious for a few weeks now and his accuracy has been off the mark

He is still at least a week away with a broken hand and considering how underdone he is I would say you and I have more chance of getting a game than he does

I thought perrie was reasonable, delivery and set up going forward didnt help him at all. We were back to some of that long bombing stuff today. I agree i think it was in another thread, but hentschel hasnt looked good all this yr really. We seem to turn players into the third tall types, instead of a strong marking CHF. I really think if watts is doing the right stuff on the track we should test him out. Probably 10 or so sanfl games first would be better for him, but it was dissapointing that we dont really have that CHF or FF to aim at. But as i said wasnt the forward lines fault entirely imo, bombing it to a pack of 6 ot 7 isnt the smart thing to do and you would of thought they'd have learnt that over the past 2 yrs.

Nothing wrong with a long direct bomb to the goalfront jack.

We severely lack a goal-kicking crumbing forward.

I said that a couple of games back and got pasted for it!

I think Hentschell has been ok bit ordinary recently - still reckon its a tad easier in defence, which is where he mostly was last year, than in attack. Stevo needs to come back in. I'm ready to have another lookat Watts but isnt he injured?
