Once again the BF faithfull are calling for heads after (and I was there gritting my teeth through every second of the game) a truely dismal performance.

But this is where we are as a team, well off the pace.

Granted we had what looked like our worst performance of the year, we were flat, skills were sickening, intensity was rubbish but we were comprehensivley beaten by St. Kilda (and McBernie:p.....god he's a dueche)

We're 2 years off making a push, like it or not.

I'm quite happy with how the Crows have performed this year, we've blooded many youngsters and we've won games while doing it.

Our forward line looked pretty bad today but the center pieces to our future forward line weren't playing today.

Tippet, Sellar and Walker are 3 players we shouldn't, but it's hard not to, put a lot of hope in. An athletic freak who is a very good contested mark just learning the game can be anchored in the 50, a CHF prospect who needs more work on his fitness but has shown glimpses of what we know is there (he's our big key) and a leading forward who is so naturaly gifted but needs to work on 1%ers.

Chuck Porps, Doughy, Vince, Jacky reting Moran and Maric around these guys and our forward line is a promising prospect.

Our backline has 2 fixtures in Bock and Truck who are top notch. Chuck stiffy, Symes, in there with Petrenko being groomed for McLeods role and Aaron Kite who looks a very very very good prospect.

Our midfield looks good as well. Maric, Knights VB Rielly Thomo DMAC Otten and Danger (who looked very lost in there today but will benefit from actually training with us so to learn the game plan) and that looks promising. Also Danger tried hard today, chased, tackled and threw his body at smother attempts.

Be patient and hope we have another progressive draft this year and accept the fact we're 2 years off.

Five weeks ago a lot of us - including myself in some respects - were ready to tank it and finish 10th. Having secured a finals spot last week, anything we do from here is a bonus. If we don't push for Top 4 in 2010 then I will be bitter, but 6th-8th is OK during a genuine rebuilding phase.

I think this is unfair, I think a majority of this board (unusually) have reacted quite rationally to the game today.

It's just a noisy minority (I'm sure I don't need to name usernames) who are repeating their usual irrational hysterical calls.

We've beaten an out of form Sydney, Tigers, Carlton and Essendon

All of a sudden we're the team who will beat Geelong and we're calling for droppings sackings trading for players etc etc etc.

Over the top.

And the typical yes men (I'm sure I don't need to name usernames) are out in force too.

Yeah, it's not the end of the world but it is very disappointing when your team puts in such a lame work rate. To be beaten by a better side is fair enough, but we were foul today. Hopefully we can bounce back and beat the doggies.
