Perspective:

A decimated 8th beat 5th away from home without it's best 3 players, less finals experience and a return from a trip to WA in front of a piss weak crowd.

That's perspective

we need to stop recruiting the same type of footballers, it's been a long time since we have had one or two game breakers in the side

i am leaning towards recruiting Didak, we need some spark and magic

That has often been our problem over the past few years. We have a lot of players, who are and have been good for the Club, but they have just been around the mark. Good footballers, but nothing that makes you sit back and go wow.

I reckon Dangerfield can provide us with something special as can Walker.

Agreed. Love his run through the middle.

Loved David Mackay's game today :thumbsu:

That goal was sensational and his celebration was equally as good! I loved the way he throws himself on the ball, for the slight guy he is, he always commits.

Whoever it was that kicked that hospital ball high in the air when attempting to centre the ball in the last quarter when we were 7 points down resulting in a turn over and goal which killed our momentum and lost us the game, they should be placed in a cannon and launched into the sun, I don't know who kicked it as it was on the other side of the ground, It was the single dumbest piece of football I have ever seen in my entire life, 3 players were free and running forward, a sure goal putting us 1 point down was going to result. I have a sneaky suspicion it was soon to be dumped Captain Simon Goodwin, (was a) great player, is an average Captain.

It was Goodwin:mad: He must very seriously consider retirement (and that comment is not just based on that kick and takes into account his injury woes)

Equally as poor as a Thompson clanger that gave away a goal earlier in the game.

Our midfield was a disgrace today...thank God Mackay was out there...the older blokes should be ashamed of their game today.

my concern on Goody, he is showing the same wear and tear Roo did a year before Roo's retirement

Roo went on a year too long, if Goody continues in 2009, he may make the same mistake

For what it's worth, my opinion only.
The Crows team that takes the field under Neil Craig appears to be lacking a couple of strong bodied on ballers, I dont believe Knights, Douglas, Vince, Reilly are strong enough and lack a geniune aggressive approach to each and every contest, that will win the hard ball.
The Crows DO NOT INTIMIDATE.
Too many poor choices are made by experienced players too often. What example does this set?
Our backline can take a bow.Under some immense pressure during the season they have been terriffic.
Forwards, well very unlucky with fresh and ongoing injuries to key players.
Onballers, mmmm, back to that dreaded department again...Well Neil, Personally I think we have a team that is designed too much around athletetisism and not enough about grit and determination, some unfashionable players like Swan, Kirk,K.Cornes come to mind. Please Neil, change your approach and lets get rid of some of your favorites and lets get a bit of the old fashioned G AND D into us!
