Perthites,

What is there to do in this great city of yours? I have been here 2 days alredy and I am finding this place weird.

Everything is so new and clean!

Where is the seedy side of town?

Perth is great, im still having bouts of homesickness

Anyway, if you want dodgy areas then go to Balga or Kwinana - the local community there will surely take nice care of you ;)

Depending on how old you are......
Northbridge is pretty seedy on a saturday night and if you choose the right clubs Ie Paramount and Rise you can find yourself some pretty easy chicks.
Scarborough and lookout on a fri night has some bogans, heavy drinking and reasonably easy surfie chicks if that is your taste.

East Perth used to be a hole but its now all new and refurbished. And as for what to do? depends what you like. Adventure world(while nothing compared to Eastern States im sure) is good fun for a water slide park, Northbridge at night usually is good, plenty of shops all over the place(but i dont think this concerns you too much) um yeah check out Richs Bells, worlds biggest waste of Money:) Go to the beach(its a little warmer at the moment, sorta) as they are grouse.

Great City, Love it:)

Yah tis is a nice city...so meeeeellow compared to Sydney! And I started in one bloody arcade and ended going into like 5 differant ones! Weird!

I am not after dodgy places to hang out..just wanna see the feral wild life as i have already been to Subi and all the nice places.

Even the old buildings in the city still look new! Something that is rare in Sydney.

I am staying in the Mt Lawley (?) area..

Frosties_Frank its now time to admit that WA is the best state......and Perth is the best city.
Check out our beaches as well....Cott is a nice area.

I dont know about being the best state or city....:D

Perth reminds me of what Sydney used to be like 20 odd years ago.

BTW I am 29.

If you want to see some feral tarts go to GBT's in Joondalup on a Friday night.

If you want a seedy night club, go to Club Bay View in Claremont, it's the epitome of seedy, but it's just cool.

If you want derro's and bogans, as mentioned before, Lookout on Friday night.

Mt Lawley is a really good suburb, depending on what sort of things you like, you might be interested in the Queens hotel (on Beaufort St, on Friday/Saturday/Sunday). It's kinda for the older crowd (25+) who just want to relax and have a quiet drink.

Ahh Ozzult I cant help but think we probally see eachother all the time and not even know it
Same uni
Same clubs
Quite a scary thought :)

I dunno if this interests you, but all the other best places to go on certain nights, are something like this.

Monday - Not many places crank, but The Deen in Northbridge has a really good backpacker night.

Tuesday - Pretty dead night, but The Bog in Freo and The Bog in Northbridge are OK.

Wednesday - Cranking at Steves in Nedlands, if Steves isn't your scene, go further down Stirling Hwy to Captain Stirlings. Leederville Hotel on Newcastle St is really starting to get cranking now on Wednesday nights. Also Breakwater and Bar120 (formerly the Craic) are pretty busy on Wednesday, this is in Hillaries.

Thursday - Cott hotel apparently has started to become "not bad" lately, but I've never been on a Thursday. Other hot spots on Thursday are Red Rock hotel from about 8-12 (the women here are unbelievable). Once Red Rock shuts, you can head just down the road to Club Bay View (for some reason the quality of women seems to diminish once they enter CBV).

Friday - Lookout in Scarborough, or the pub right next door to the Lookout, Stamford Arms. A few places in Northbridge go off as well.

Saturday - In my opinion, this is the worst night of the week to go out, it's just all the same now. But Northbridge is a never fail, you're bound to find something you like.

Sunday - This isn't called the Lords day of rest for no reason. The best day to go out during the week in Perth... in my opinion. Start off at the Cott at about 3-4PM, stay till about 9.30 (closes at 10), but leave at around 9.30 so you can get to Club Bay View and beat the queue's. CBV stays open till the wee hours of the morning. <-- Best night ever.

Yeah it is a scary thought :)

We could probably be good mates, you sound like a good bloke, but I could never be mates with someone who likes to wear purple. :)

Hrmm good some up for someone aged 18 to 25
Though probaly not the best locations for someone a little older.
Red rock for example it seems is a 21 and under hang out, you may feel like a grand dad their if your 29.
Same goes for lookout on a friday night so I would suggest you stick to Standford arms.
Wednesday night again stay away from Steves if your older than 22, my advice is Captain Stirling or the leedy, that said stay away from Hippee club...As it sux
Sat night I would recommend Subi as its an older crowd classy chicks that need a guy with money, opposed to a 19 yo like myself who can barely pay for my own drinks :)

You're 29 right Frosties? I'd say that probably makes you about 12 years too old for the Lookout (And some would say about five years too young for the Stamford Arms) :).
