The demo is definitely a lot more decent than one's I've played in previous years.

Could never really look past the fact that all the players looked and played like Japanese men in mo-cap suits. All had the same running style, nobody was unique, etc.

But this feels and looks a lot more realistic to past efforts.

I like how the AI covers for their men a lot. You take someone out of defence and someone will move back to fill your position. Same goes for the opposition defenders making sure to cover the wingman and not allow an easy pass out to the sides for a cross.

Is it just me though or are the controls REALLY twitchy? I'm barely tapping the buttons but it's powering this stuff up to half way without me wanting it to be as such. It means I sky a lot of shots and my passes/shots from corners, free kicks and kick ins tend to not go where I'd like them to.

Also a decent UI would be good. Japanese devs and their use of the same font, same UI systems...just so damn annoying. Makes it 10 times harder for someone foreign to the game to get into it all.

Probably won't win me over to PES, but I can definitely see improvement from past efforts.
 
Basically, with Team Management, you hit L1 to see the players overall, press triangle (I think) on them to view their stats and X to view desired catagory.

Controls are very sensitive yes. I would assume they'll be better in demo 2.

At least you've given it a go.

I try to give as many demo's a go as possible. Never know when you'll find a gem from them.

Will be downloading and playing demo 2 as well.

Just scored a huge goal from about 45 yards out. Was actually a really smart goal. Just took a long punt for it myself, but the smart part about the goal was that there was a defender directly in the GK's line of vision for the ball. Defender ended up missing the ball and because of that all the GK could do was try and sit on the ball. Looked pretty realistic to what you'd expect from a long bomb like that to potentially do.
 
I'm really looking forward to the new PES. The most recent one was easily the best on PS3 and I found it more enjoyable than FIFA.

I just hope they have brought back the Konami Cup, having a custom league/cup adds a lot more depth as you could set up some crazy tournaments.

This will probably be better then Fifa 12 but will get Fifa purely based on the fact that all my mates play Fifa and can't be bothered becoming a beast in both Pes and Fifa.
 
Am loving this already.

Did an awesome goal with a header from ferdinand to park ji sung who bicycle kicked it into the net from within the 6 yard box.
Couldn't save it :(

Yeah it is very hard. Collision engine is balls. My players ran into each other a lot. The passing is good, but I feel you have to hit it too hard even just to make a pass a bit further away.

Definitely will be playing PES more.
