dont know bout the rest of you but the remote nearly went through the wall with last nights game,
and im sure most people on the site who are complaining is that it is extremely frustrating we can put sides away..
we blew melb away in that first half and looked better all night..
we havent beaten a side by more than 33 points all year..hence our crap percentage and thus why i for one am getting frustrated when we should have one a game like last night comfatbly..

I'm not pessimistic, and I'm not unhappy. I was just frustrated with last night, but you guys have to realise that the umpiring didn't help whatsoever. I recon if we had some decent umpiring, we could've won by at least 4-5 goals.

The players seemed to wanna give it to the Dees after they had a clanger, it wasn't like they were interested in just playing their game, which is disappointing to see in my football team, I thought we'd be better then that. Watching that 3rd quarter, I thought MM would have a heartattack or at least pull out a gun and shoot half the Collingwood team, I was THAT frustrated.

I hope something was mentioned in the post-match conference about the umpiring, because it was worse then the one against St Kilda.

Pfft. Stinkin umpires butt ****ed us again, what's new. Funny thing is, by half time we were saying the umpiring hadn't been too bad, couple of dubious calls but ok. And then the Johnno bump - they crucified us for the rest of the game. And that call for Wakelin holding the ball was disgusting.

We could have won that game by a comfortable 30-40 points if the bump on Bell didnt spur on the comeback.

Good new is, Pendles, Didak, Rusling and Buckley are all back within this and next week.
We're getting a full side and should be rarring to go for finals, providing Bucks hammy pulls up good.

Bad kicking for goal has killed our percentage. There were plenty of games we won confortably or were killing the other team but in the end the margin was no more than 2-4 goals. See the Sydney game, Brisbane in Brisbane, St. Kilda (the umpires are mostly to blame for that) and others including the Bulldogs game (we may not have won, but the 30 point margin wasn't a true indicator of the closeness of that game).

I'm feeling way more optimistic tonight.

* we won, well at least we won the first half which was an improvement from the week before.

Yes very frustrating. Seems to be a lack of belief and self-esteem - get ahead by a lot and then keep missing shots, forward line becomes static and predictable. Some good signs obviously in the 1st 1/2 - tackling and intensity was back, midfield mroe dangerous - Pendles makes a big diff, Swan and Johnston starting to hit form (but forget about the latter).
Still haven't given up the year entirely, but clearly need something extra in the forward line/mids - and that something is one word that starts with B that could make a huge difference for the finals.
I also think Clarke coming back could make a significant difference, particularly as a skillled tagger that we seem to lack at present - and need to recycle some of the youngsters like STanley and DAvies to see if we can get another one hitting form for the finals.
