I saw enough of him at Carlton to know he was easily as good and better than anyone on our list then - He would have been a superstar - when I see Gibbs fly like Motts then I will rate his potential on he same level. Your absolutely correct about the miracle of his life but I believe alot is due to the strength of the mans charater and that of his family and close friends. Theres a great photo of Motts and Braddles in the MCG rooms with the 87 cup.

IIRC Bradley gave Mots his Premiership medallion for that year. His life story is one of the few common bonds that transcends footy rivalry here in SA.
