I was reading a column in the local paper (I think they rip it from the Age) about the Doggies and how Peter Street earned $80,000 at Geelong and $200,000 a year for three years at the Dogs.

I don't know how accurate that would be, it sounds insane. Poor bastards :(

So not only did they give up a top 20 pick for him, but they also decide to pay him 250% more than we did.

Dear God, they are incompetent.

I don't know what they saw in him, although they had their supporters convinced.

I remember one telling me on here that Scott Wynd was "reprogramming" Street in the off-season, and would make him a player.

One of the conditions Luke Darcy gave for re-signing with us last year was that we recruit another ruckman.

Can understand that much, but why we went for Street is beyond me.

Just a question.Put Street into the Brisbane side , how good or bad will he now look?

Not even those at Brisbane could make Street look good.

Going into the best team in the league wouldn't suddenly give him courage, a work ethic and desire.

Some of those could come in time, but he'd currently be the same player.

Street has been worse than we expected to date. His game last night was better with Bandy and Darcy doing our ruck and Streety freshly sneaking on.

If thats true, I dont really know what the Dogs were thinking. Saw a few Geelong games last year.. how could any team give him more then $100,000?

Disagree PP , the Brisbane side has won 3 flags in a row without top class ruckmen, but ruckman who could detrmine the outcome of the centre ballup.Street strength's and there is not many revolve around getting his hands to the ball in the middle. If directed to punch the ball forward he would be a great tool with quality around him. Around the ground , USELESS, centre bounces could have imput into the outcome.
In the end , its accademic.Hes at the Bullies and the are not the Lions

You could reprogram a mid 1900’s computer before you could reprogram Street.
