Tries his best, and when he's in the team we need him in there... but we could probably do better :o

Thing is though, Minson isn't doing much to keep him out of the team.

The big fella did well today, but lacks is either lazy or doesn't have a football brain. Johnno had the ball 60 out on the boundary in the last 1/4 and Streety just hung around in the pocket, either he was too lazy to work down to the goalsquare or he just didn't understand that was where he needed to be.

Give the bloke a break he he went alright today the way i see it he gave us more than we have been getting out of a ruckman up to date this year

I've been one of his harshest critics thus far this season, but if anyone get's over excited about today's game, then they're easily pleased.

Peter Street: 10 disposals, 2 marks, 22 hit outs.
Jeff White: 22 disposals, 10 marks, 15 hit outs.

In spite of the above, I thought he was an improvement of what we've seen so far this season from Will.

Several times today he was clear in the forward 50 but players just didn't want to kick to him. I know like most big guys he can be a little clumsy but he's shown he can take a contested mark. I think the team needs to give him the opportunities he's trying to create. It'll help his confidence, and he'll only get better.

He was ok, but we are a fair way off from being preimership contenders with our ruck stocks. We have to pray that Minson can come good. I'm undecided on wheather he will.......

Today provided more than MInson has arguably all year.

Would be interersting to hear his knockers view on his game today.

Not arguably, definitely provided a helluva lot more, we look so much better with him there and always have, end of discussion minson followers/street knockers.

A pretty good effort by Streety today. Gave us alot more out of the middle than Minson has this year!!
Well done Tall Guy!

Yeah, I think Street did ok aswell, you would think he will retain his spot next week. Good to see him out there.

Streety was a trier alll day. Thought he gave us much greater chance of clearing the centre today. Considering how poor Big Will has been this year, Streety could well have been the difference today. He did actually take 2 decent contested marks and his disposal was sound. Heard stringer on 774 say that Streety was 'smashed' today, can't agree with that summation.

Streety was sound today, far better in the centre than Big Will has been all year. Considering how contested ball in the centre and in packs has been a real weakness this year, felt that his effort made a difference, a signficant difference considering how close it was today.

I think he did OK, but nothing special. Took a couple of good contested marks, as well as 'running' around a Demon forward whilst in defence, much to the amusement of the crowd.

He was servicable, but needs to take more advantage of those staggeringly long limbs, tap to advantage more, less buggerising around with dainty taps.

Also, next time you are the only tall in the forward line (including opposition backman for that matter), MOVE TO THE BLOODY SQUARE. Not only Johnno was telling you to to get away from the pocket, 20000 other people were too. The fact that you're 54' tall hasn't escaped out attention, take advantage of it.

both valid points, but I also think he is a much better option then minson.

I'm definetely a Street knocker, he really is a liability around the ground. However having said that, he did provide a better option in the ruck and seemed to make us more competitive in the centre bounces.

I agree with most here, he's our best option in the ruck since Minson has been way out of form.

Street just needs to get to more contests and play a bit smarter and try and read the play.

Streety my man, was quite good today.

On the Street v Minson debate, Street is the lesser of two evils for me. They both provide bugger all service around the ground, by Street is far superior in tap work.

As he is so friggen tall, he will get a few hit outs, most of which will go to our advantage, which happened on a few occasions today, which leads to clearances for our side, an area where we have been generally poor in over the past few weeks.

His tapwork was good today. White would have destroyed Minson.

Might be worth throwing Wight in there next week, as he's probably the only one that can go with Fraser.
