The first part of that post is one of the finest pieces i have ever read from you , not sure about the second half , bit harsh . Take schulz and Polak out of that mix , then again you could be right

Pettifer should have been on the trade table last year , Wallace was negligent on this one . His value will never be higher . Then again , maybe he was and we just don`t know it . Either way Pettifer has shirked many issues this year and i am dissappointed he has not paid for it . Meyer has gone well enough in the last couple to hopefully tip him out next week if there is another poor showing .

Yes, it is hard work being a forward...especially in the Richmond forward line.

But what Pettifer needs to learn is HE needs to work hard. That includes tackling, harrassing and presenting himself.

Unfortunately he does none of these things well.

Like when was the last time he laid a tackle? Seriously.

LMAO at some of his attempts to bump players...generally 10 seconds later that he ought to. He seems to think he's Dermott Brereton, but hits about as hard as an infant!!!

Needs to lift his work ethic to stave off Danny Meyer being included next week.

Just out of interest, when was the last time we produced a good crumbing goal?

Isn't this what the likes of Pettifer and Krakouer are there for?

Actually when his career was on the line a few years back,spud frawley threw him into backline and he was tackling quite well.May be we should threaten him again with chop so he can pull his finger out.

That just about sums you up as a person doesn't it?,you can't even have a rational debate without dissing somebody. Btw I did give reasons why I thought patto would never make it but like i said you never bothered to read them.As for pettifer I was one of his worst critics a few years ago and wanted him delisted but then he started hit his straps and kick goals which is what he paid for and what I wanted him to do,we all know he's never been hard at it and never will be but as long as he can average 2 to 3 goals a game I have no problems with that.atm he needs to be dropped because he's playing like he did a few years ago but I'm sure he can come back because even though he's a front runner he can kick accurately for goal and he can also kick 50 plus metres which not a lot of players can do.

dude, until you realise that to become a competitive finals team, you need your HFs kicking goals and closing down defences so they dont run the ball out at their leisure.
i.e. game plan says, run it out, x run to the space, y run the decoy, z you move up the guts, so y can double back on the lead into the hole and we get a shot, if you dont put pressure on the running backman that has it will execute it without fail. They have practiced that game plan and know it back to front, and until you have HFs throwing pressure into the mix,i.e. not letting them jsut do the circle work, we are going nowwhere fast. Which is about where we are going now.
Just watch the votes tomorrow, i would be tipping Petts man get votes.

yep ya have that right and ya know what theres some who want rodan and fiora back can ya believe it. imo pettifer has lasted so long only because the club didnt want egg on its face in useing a top 10 pick on such a dud.
i would be rolling around with laughter if it wasnt so f&&%%&^ing serious at our selected half forward line this week. pettifer schulz and krakouer if thats not the worst hf line in the comp i will go jump.

More faith and hope than on anything i have seen .

Just want our picks for Ottens to work out .

We will only ever start to move forward when we can genuinely drop the passengers for kids who are pushing from the magoos . Meyer has by all accounts shown a bit the last fortnight and i would dearly love him to step up and oust a bloke like Pettifer on form not charity .

The Pettifers of the RFC have made 100 - 150 games at our club over the last 20 years by the only virtue that they have not had anyone to push them aside .

We are just starting to see Schulz show somthing and becuase our big blokes have been playing pretty well (schulz, richo and polak) the midfielders seem to just bomb it long to them everytime instead of taking their time and finding the best option.

Pettifer on the forward flank is important to us, can kick goals from outside 5 and is generally a pretty good kick.

Krakouer on the other hand who is played as a Forward pocket , is not what he is supposed to be doing, crumbing goals or at least getting in the postion to crumb goals.

If we had a fully fit forward line our set up would be pretty damn impressive,Schulz playing out of the sqaure, Richo around the 30-50 mark, Kingsley the lead up player, Brown the crumbing and leading small forward who knows where the goals are, and Pettifer and eiether Pat Bowden or Tambling playing up the ground more as the other flank

that HF line has the media in a buzz, the HF line on the tip of the footy world's tongue. And its taken them 6 or 7 years to get the accolades, and you have Buddys, Tomahawks etc, playing for 3 minutes and no one knows about them.
And of course we are better off, seeing as we are slowly developing our HF line with high draft picks, instead of the others wanting instant impact with high ones, that will develop into match winning impacts,when they have devloped. So you do the maths.
You see its quite an easy equation when talking team developent. You need 5 or 6 players that can turn a game, or win it. Dont need to have all of them doing it all the time, that aint gunna happen all year. It will happen every now and then. But when it does happen for one of them, that means game turns or game is won. When you spread it amongst 5 or 6 players, that means that they only have to do it 2 or 3 times each a season and you have the nessecary wins, to get you to the real stuff. Then the coach's nouse, along with those players' hunger to "achieve", gets them to turn the game or win it all at once, and thats when you have a team that can take the big one.

So TW, its all ok to develop a running game plan to get the ball into the FL. It ends up with Jack when you dont have those 5 or 6 players to make it happen on the scoreboard, when they should have and when they shouldnt have. That means that when you have a zillion inside 50s like we invriably do, you start to kick those scores, that you "promised" the faithful, was the new tiger direction , even when the inside 50 delivery isnt on the money, there is someone there that will make it happen anyway.
The direction is there, its your implemenation of the direction that isnt. i.e. wrong cattle to kick those scores.
Lets just say when the moon turns blue, that will be the day we will see a miracle goal from Petts for e.g, on the run with any foot, from the boundary. We might even see him take a mark in a one on one situation. WHich HF or forward in our team is capable of that?
It always comes down to one Richo with the one on one marks and Krak with the miracle. I mean can you remember the last time you saw Petts outmark his opponent?
Thats how far down the chute we are.
We had a Brownie and we now have no Brownie and we need another 5 of him. So when other 4 have an off day, then there is 1 that does the deed. That means that the next week, one of the other 4 is due.

So in summary TW, can you quit with the crap and start experimenting with the new. It aint gunna happen with the same old same old dude. They all, bar one or maybe 2, display extememely limited ability, and then a complete absence of class when it comes to turning a negative situation into a goal for us.


DOnt knock Krak dude, he is one of those players that can turn a game with a bit of magic. It aint his fault that the faithful expect him to do it each week and then suggest that others that havent got it are doing ok, because they kick a goal from the goal line, after it has clean bowled a pack. Not mentioning either, that we didnt "waste" a high draft pick for him. Same goes for Drod. Yes he wanted to do to much a times, but at least he wanted to make something happen. He also could do the out of left field stuff that made the difference, kicked the unckickable goal, something that turned games.
What we have in Petts, Hydes, etc are guys that if it isnt out of the "how to manual" are left clutching for straws.

last year you were sticking up for Stafford, now its Kane. Richmond should do us all a fav and drop Pettifer from the side this weekend and maybe next. I would rather a kid in his place at the moment. Face it Pettifer is giving us stuff all.
