They did in 2014 and 2015, on stage. Didn't happen last year.

Here's a somewhat arbitrary request, but what are the chances we draft someone who can string a sentence together?

I've been noticing intelligence is something Schache, Polec, Aish and Longer seemed to seriously lack, compared to say Witherden, Andrews, McCluggage, Hipwood etc. Perhaps it is more of a factor than people think in being able to translate U18 form into the AFL? It would be interesting to analyse all draftees from all clubs and see if there is actually a correlation or if I'm just a nutter.

We need winners and Rayner has that in spades. Dow a close 2nd but he just doesn't have the overall talent as Rayner and LDU has question marks over his attitude apparently, does he want to be the best?

Rayner has the most ability and I really liked Cerra.

But has to be Stephenson for me Pick 1. Could be anything! And is a lions supporter, so chances of him leaving like all our other first rounders is significantly lower.

Order of preference- Luke Davies-Uniacke/Cameron Rayner, Paddy Dow, Jaidyn Stephenson, Nick Coffield.

It's only the often repeated "His endurance will always be suspect" talk from some journos that I like (I know, there aren't many) ie. Brett Anderson and Callum Twomey that is putting me off wanting Rayner at number 1.

Yep NAB Portfolio or something. Andrew McGrath did get it as I remember John Wordfold had to leave the stage after the jumper presentation so the NAB guy could present the Prize and briefcase.

Only thing missing from that picture was streamers and poppers and champagne.

Supposedly the top 3/4/5 are fairly close in football abilities with differing strengths in skill sets. Fagan's statement of needing an inside/outside mid kind of contradicts when he said Rayner is the number prospect. I personally feel that it will come down to character/interviews. Still prefer Dow just ahead because of his contested ball ability and speed/agility on close. LDU close second and won't be too dissapointed if we call his name out. Rayner third, reminds me of Colin Sylvia and not Dusty.

I'm still on the Dow wagon but tbh the top 3 in Dow, LDU and Reyner are super talented so I'm happy with any. Pick 1 is a hard pick to **** up.

Rayner looks very much like a Dustin Martin type which would be awesome for us but he is a Vic Metro kid so that scares me off. I went with Dow.
