Pick 4 - Melbourne FC

I can't see GWS passing on Toumpas, I'd obviously love them to but I just can't see it happening.

Hogan, Viney and Toumpas...

You can lock Witfield and O'Rouke in as 1 and 2. Plowman is the tip for 3. If I could place a bet it would be on Toumpas being available to 4.

To me, this is the most interesting question regarding the top 10 selections tonight (that and where Grundy will go). Not so excited to see who goes pick 1 as its more or less a done deal but for mine the interesting things I'll be looking for are:

Melbourne pick 4
Grundy (does he slide and if so, how much)
Garlett (anyone takes the punt?)
Jacobs - who will bite the bullet and take him as he seems to have a few interested parties.

I'll have a go:

Melbourne Pick 4 - Toumpas
Grundy - To Geelong
Garlett - Yes, WCE will take the punt
Jacobs - Essendon @ 34

yeah, don't think you're too far off the mark with these mate. I could see Grundy going to GWS at 12 (if we overlook him also) but if GWS don't take him, reckon Geelong will get a real steal.

I had horrible feelings of 2008 when Morton was a lock at #3 to the Weagles for a long time and then in the last week it seemed he would slip to Melbourne at #4. We all considered it a steal...

Thought the same thing. I remember listening to the draft on the Saturday morning and fist pumping when West Coast overlooked Morton leaving him to us. Oh hindsight.

If Melbourne pass on Toumpas for Wines it will be be a terrible, terrible decision. Not a knock one Wines, just Toumpas is that good. Should really be top 2.

I am full expecting Melbourne to take him though.

There is no chance we take him at 15. This is a good draft and to give away 15 for a player worth 25-35 just won't happen.

What's your excuse for losing the last 11 games of a year where you coincidentally had a first round compensation pick tied to your finishing position?
Umm, we weren't caught having so called "secret" meetings. Haven't had any former players speak up from our club.
True clubs have "tanked" in the past, but not as brazen and as open as the Dees.
You've been caught with your pants down . Fact

If you need to troll take it to the main board where it belongs, woof. Anyway stoked to get Toumpas and Port should be pleased with Wines.

Didn't Hawthorn overlook Judd due to his shoulder issues?
Completely different injuries.

Name me one player who's gone on to have a successful career after having surgery on both hips.

For what it's worth, I think he'll be a gun and no doubt the Melbourne Doctors know more than I do, I'm just pointing out there was a risk in picking him, and there's absolutely no doubt in my mind he would've gone to GWS had it not been for that risk.
