2009 is going to be awesome for the Tigers.

I wish you much success, especially for being courageous and kind enough to throw a life-line to Cuz. Your team is looking strong. I hope you boys crush Carlton in round 1.

PS. a small favour, can you guys rest Cousins when we play against eachother. I couldnt bear it. :(

I listen to music for melody full of ideas and adventure. None of those simplistic punk melodies which any person in the world could think of. I like to pay to listen to professionals

Exactly , people like you listen to the musicians not the music. People who look at music as a "profession" should give it away and take up accountancy or something. "Adventure"... what pretentious terminology to use in relation to music , the kind of bollocks "critics" use. You want "adventure" go rent an Indiana Jones movie. .:o

I don't listen to technicality in any instrument. That's for metal heads who wank over guitar playing, but don't notice the actual melodies are simplistic and mediocre. :o I listen to the combination of instruments blending to make something clever. It's all about teamwork when it comes to true prog(not that prog metal crap)

Again non-sensical and irrelevant terminology. Teamwork? What is music to you? A sport?
Maybe you should comment about metal when you've heard more than "Paranoid" , "Smoke On The Water" and "Enter Sandman".
You're fairly ignorant for someone who claims to like to be "challenged" by music. Fact is you only like to be "challenged" with your already narrowly defined boundaries and viewpoints on music, so in reality you're no different from the rest of the braindead masses who you claim your musical tastes to be above and actually don't really like to be "challenged" at all.

And people who describe music as "clever" totally miss the point and are usually tossers of the first order.:o

naaa dude, the philistine you are talking about, didnt have to talk about music in that way for him to shine through as a tosser. He is someone that writes to TW and comes here to tell all that TW listens to his opinions.....so you can gather from that the words, brain dead and tosser, sit well with him or better still "it". ;)

I win this argument. You are laughing at my idea of team work within a band. That's the first mistake in music to laugh at that

It's a balmy March evening. The MCG is packed with 85,000 supporters and the umpire holds the ball aloft. The siren sounds to commence the 2009 AFL season. Simmonds wins the hit out, which lands straight into Foley's clutches, he dishes the ball quickly out in heavy traffic to a waiting Deledio, who takes off at amazing speed and draws the player towards him. Deledio times it perfectly and whips out a lightning fast handball to Cotchin, who effortlessly evades a sluggish and still overweight Nick Stevens. Cotchin spots a player out of the corner of his eye. It's Ben Cousins. Cotchin feeds the handball out to Cousins, who sidesteps Judd, takes a bounce, runs to 45m and bangs home a goal inside 15 seconds of playing time. The roar shakes the famous Melbourne Cricket Ground to its foundations and the AFL now realises that the sleeping giant is ready to permanently awaken from its seemingly perpetual slumber. People are standing in the aisles high fiving complete strangers. It feels good to be a Richmond supporter and all is well.

Of course this has been highly dramatised for effect, but the point I'm trying to make is that people are excited again. The off season has just become longer and more unbearable.
Well I've tried to resist for a few days but this is a way too juicy thread to just let go :D

At least you got one thing right with the Cousins' touch in the first 15 seconds aye? :o :o

Richmond supporters are hilarious :D :D

I'm surprised it last that long unbumped. A bump well deserved. What a sad thread this has turned out to be. :o

Hey, I've been out of the country, but I know that "overweight Stephens" was suspended for round 1. I assume everything else went to script? Please confirm ;)

Yeah, fair call. Deserved to be bumped. I can take it.
However, I did put a thinly veiled disclaimer in my OP: 'this has been highly dramatised for effect'?
Perhaps I should have said 'this is the product of your author's wild fantasy'.
