Seriously, any wonder Hine is so good with his competition out there!
Collingwood had Toovey, Macaffer, McCarthy potentially available to other clubs. Without starting ability arguments, they are in the top 28 players in one of the top two performing sides of recent years. It is a compromised draft. Some of the trades I have seen other sides make leave me bewildered.
We are the richer so far if all we are going to do is delist our rookies and bottom tier players.
Glad to see Hine/Bucks not sit on their hands like other teams.

Apparently we tried to get rid of McCarthy late, but no one would offer anything higher then a 4th round pick (North is the rumour).
McCarthy might walk now.

Should have just done the deal if that was the case matty, unless the club wants to retain J-Mac.
Pretty poor effort that IMO for a player who most likely will walk anyway.

I think Hine/Walsh and co would have seen another late pick as being irrelevant basically, as we probably wouldn't use it if we traded for it. (Or wouldn't use one of the later picks anyway).
We didn't need more late round draft picks, I'd say we held out for a 2nd or at worst a 3rd round pick that never came, so we will take our chances now.
I'll back the club to retain both IMO, they have ways of making these things work out.

i believe that caff will take a pay cut but its one of the other to move on... depends who wants to play for us

Damian Barrett was just trying to indicate (on TWR post trade week closure) that he is not convinced Leon Davis (after the Liam Pickering interview this morning) will stay on and that he is apparently still considering whether or not to go on.
I thought I had heard that he had committed to Bucks that he would go around again but I suppose he could be a shock retiree.

We were after Tommy Walsh from St Kilda for the record. Maybe we would've moved JMac on if we landed him. Not sure.
