Hm...I've just been given a bit of info about some behind the scenes stuff that took place directly after the Sydney game that would go some way to explaining Cloke's form this year.

2 Problems with this story even if it IS true.

1) Cloke's form was shit prior to the Sydney game
2) Fasolo is also involved in this story and his form has been great

Don't tease.

Well, the stuff that IS known (isn't it?) is that after the Lachie Keefe and Josh Thomas thing, the Club made a pact to stop with the illicit drugs (that is known right? I'm sure I read it somewhere). But apparently obviously the drug thing came out in the off season and then the Sydney game happened.

Apparently, after the game, Pendles basically grabbed Cloke and Fasolo and slammed them up against a wall a absolutely berated the shit out of them both. The assumption there is that the 2 of those must have been involved.

The only reason I believe the story is because I've been told by another person (who is even closer to the club than the first) that quite a few players in the side don't really like Pendles much. Or Bucks for that matter. Not because they don't like them as people, but because their standards and dedication are just too much. Which honestly, was kinda cool in a way to hear. I like that Bucks and Pendles are so dedicated.

midfield battle is obviously a big factor here, the unfortunate thing for us is they have Natanui rucking for them...
another key is fast ball movement for mine, we saw a few weeks ago when Richmond played against them over there, they moved the ball slow and West Coast were able to set up their web every time and cut off almost every attack Richmond had, so we need to move the ball fast.

There is no way I am going to believe any of this until it gets a run on Facebook

.....and its Keeffe

I think you confused my words, which reading them again I can understand. I'm saying that after Robbo posted his story about us. So the assumption there is that Cloke and Fasolo are 2 of the now infamous "up to 11 players".

What does Keefe have to do with anything?

Hang on, when did Pendles suddenly get access to these confidential test results? Or were Cloke and Fasolo supposedly walking around the change rooms after a devastating loss, bragging about their offseason drug taking? I don't buy it.

Regardless of whether this is true or not, it wouldn't surprise me if Fas and Cloke reacted in opposite ways to an incident like this. My gut feeling is that Fas, despite a bit of selfishness and arrogance (maybe even because of!), reacts well to being challenged. Cloke's confidence is much more fragile.

Sounds about right.

To be serious for a minute, a number of things jump out at me (without giving it too much thought)

* As TRS said, for this to occur it would mean that players know every other player that tested positive...not sure that is possible
* Somehow the physical altercation didn't make the media at a time the media were focused on the "drugs had something to do with the huge loss" not sure Robbo would have let something like that slide.
* Robbo (because he is the toe-rag that he is) would have pushed Bucks on this even if it was in some disguised form....he didn't

And Ed, I have great faith in you and your keen eye for detail regarding Keeffe

Cloke's problem is that the forward line as a group seems to function better without him in the team. If we are doing this properly then Cloke shouldn't be forcing Cox out of the side. He's a goalkicking threat and some of his tap ruckwork on the weekend was amazing. So it comes down to Moore v Cloke. At this state I prefer Moore because he's a much more balanced player - can mark, kick, lay forward pressure, play up the ground etc whereas Cloke is very one dimensional. Additionally, he's the future, we will be building our next finals team around him, not Cloke, so it's better to be getting the games into him.

The first part he was joking, the "and it's Keeffe" part was about your spelling of his name, I think.

So you take the the drug leak out of the story and you have Pendles giving two players a serve after a crap game. If this did take place, it sounds like your mate saw the captain give underperforming players a serve and thought "Oh it must be because of drugs". This is why Robbo's story is so divisive. It takes any interactions inside the club and turns them into a Columbian cartel feud.

Fair call.

Hang on, are you telling me that players don't talk? or know which players have a past history with such things and likely to repeat offend?

There are random people on BF who knew which players had taken drugs prior to the Keeffe and Thomas incident, they also stated that 7 others were lucky not to get tested/caught as they were there when they partook.

This isn't me saying I believe the story but to say the only way Pendles would know is if he got the "results" from the tests is taking the piss surely.

Ah ok, the spelling. I used to do the same thing with Beams v Beames

Just read in the Melbourne Herald Sun that Levi is the turnover king in the AFL.Surprised me I must say but he'll have to work on his disposal.

Like Aish is a Suppose Shit Kick.

Greenwood been good for us

Emergencies are a bit of a lottery, I am thinking Aish, Maynard and Goodyear . Hopefully that leaves in Blair, Broomhead, Toovey and Sinclair

I agree but I think Broomhead has 1 more Weel in VFL and Aish stays in

Hey Shpesh do you honestly think all the players would agree to this pact??
