We have an amazing team that encapsulates the Collingwood spirit. A coach that is coming of age and as a player gave everything to the Collingwood cause.

But what we lack right now is a spirit at the game. It was embarrassing tonight. I have always backed Eddie, but why doesn’t he have a supporter in every block of seats pumping up the Collingwood supporters.

Eddie doesn’t (within reason) tell the supporters how to support or how to behave.

He’s a wise man

I don't think a single one of our better players besides maybe WHE had a "great" game. It was certainly ugly.

Howe, Scharenberg, Crisp, De Goey, Pendles, Sidebottom, Adams, Phillips, Thomas, Treloar, (good 3rd quarter), all arguably top 10 BNF this season, all had average games.

Because we brought it and pushed you. Two teams out there .

It was ugly buddy. There’s no other way to describe a game where flooding the defensive 50 occurs. It’s effective for preventing high scores, and your mob structured up well to do it, but to call it anything other than ugly footy is disingenuous.

Umm welcome to modern footy where structures and planning . Sheesh. I came in peace .

Seeing Cark-ton has played their best against the pies. They can now go back to bending over and taking it up the clacker every week until the end of the year. Another team that treated this one as their GF game.

Generally agree but thought Howe and Crisp were excellent. Sidebottom and Pendles were really good. The others were either well off their best and or a little untidy in their play.

Me too.

He was definitely wearing his Collingwood guernsey. Apart from Cripps, Curnow and Jones he didn’t have a kind word to say about Carlton all game.
What about how his son went?

He is our knob now and he is doing alright .

Yeah, but we’re the ones who are going to be giving that knob life membership one day.

Excuse the intrusion again. Well done on the win but I’m glad we fought it out and our boys curbed the American . You guys were a bit more polished and more inside 50,s But to call the game ugly ! Nathan we pushed you guys and we played as tough as we could.

Fair enough. You guys played well and possibly could have won if you hadn't lost Kreuzer. Shame about Thomas being such a turd, but Curnow and Cripps were all class.

The Blues designed a game plan around stifling our best footy and limiting the damage. They were hoping we'd be unable to score and they'd pinch a win in a low scoring contest. I'm really pleased to see that we still controlled the game enough win. We had some players whose class shone through, particularly WHE and Stephenson, and we maintained that lead they gave us. It was hard faught by a desperate opponent who had some outstanding individual efforts and we still won. There was a lot to like despite some negatives. Top 4!!!!

Seems we looked after no. 39, but it was given the same grading as Greenwood's on Merrett, which seems about right. Really it was a similar incident although 39 got Greenwood more flush and unlike Merrett Greenwood didn't come back onto the ground.

And so no one else has to visit the visy brown paper bag recycling centre...

CARLTON'S Dale Thomas has been charged with engaging in rough conduct after match review officer Michael Christian handed down his findings on Monday evening.

The incident occurred in the the third quarter of Sunday’s clash against Collingwood at the MCG.

Based on the available evidence and a medical report from the Collingwood Football Club, the incident involving Levi Greenwood from Collingwood was classified as careless conduct with medium impact to the head.

Thomas can accept a one-match sanction with an early plea.

Any way well done. Don’t dis a premiership player. He is putting in for the blues. Get over it. You had the win .

We love what Daisy, now being referred here as “who is 39?” Thanks to big Coxy, has done for your club.
Really, it’s probably the only thing that we will remember after he finishes with you and tries to weasel his way back into the greatest club in the land.

Most of this board will accept him back as premiership player at our Club but he carried on like an A Grade Knob and really looked like one.

I'll actually give Mayne some credit in the last qtr. He went to Simpson and kept him quite in that last qtr.
Why did it take so long to tag him? He is their outlet from the backline. Stop him and 50 % of Carlscum attacks are gone.
Greenwood was running around headleass so if he is to stay in the team, then use him as a tagger. Doesn't offer anything else otherwise.
