Play Hughes at CHF in Round 1

Polak should be an automatic CHB. Why people think we are in the position to play him at CHF has bamboozled me.

I agree. Polak has played his best footy in the back line and that is where we need him most. He can drift forward at times and kick one or two but is main posi should be in the backline.

I like the look of Hughes at CHF. He has a good mark, nice long kick, good pace, mobile, moves well at ground level and straightens us up. He's shown enough to tell me all this in a couple of senior games last year and the occasional Coburg or practise match. Who cares if he got dropped to Coburg 2nd for disciplinary reasons, who cares he lacked some commitment. He's very young and inexperienced and will improve these areas. Another thing? He's about 6'5", so why is he expected to get under packs like a rover and get dirty?

Throw him at CHF in Round 1 against the Blues and watch him improve the team and himself over the season. Throw Schultz at CHB and leave him there. Schultz is only 22 remember. Reiwoldt can fill these 2 spots also. One more thing. GO AWAY JOHNSON, YOU ARE PULLING OUR WHOLE CLUB DOWN :o

One good game wont get him into the senior side. And from what i hear it was against a Melbourne 2nds side pretty much. Does anyone know who he played on???
The 2 games he played last year against West Coast and Geelong is what he needs to do 5 or 6 times in a row to make it IMO.
If he can concentrate on his footy and a little less on his hair then he might pull his head in this year and contribute to the senior side.

Admire your enthusiasm, but been hearing the Schulz is only ** for three years now.

He was only 20 and al last year he was only 21.

Failed to deliver...big time!

I must have woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning... but **** me, one second he's a dud, the next he's a monty for CHF in Round 1.

Make up your mind!

FWIW - he's in the magoo's until he's form says that he deserves a game. A 2 goal game against probably the worst side in the league in Darwin surely isnt a lock selection

I've got no idea what Wallace is doing with this kid.

He's got ability. He seems to me more like the kind of player that lifts his game against quality opposition than muddy grounds in the magoos.

Give him a chance because the other options Shulz, Polak (who should stay at chb) aint exactly that phenomenal either.

wallace is doing exactly what needs to be done
Play the arrogant lazy prick in the 2s and 3s till he decides
he wants to play footy or he wants to go away

I agree. Also play Thursfield at FB, put Bowden as the sweeper of the half back and pick from the usual suspects for the other three places in the back half.

gee man, you are one hard task master. So he has shown you that he can do all the things it takes in the big time, because he kicked 3 goals in a game when we were dead and buried, with the opposition defence lighting up the cigar while they sipped on their cognac, and took a few marks in another that followed the same formula re. we lost again, and he is the answer huh?

Who cares if he lacked commitment?....dont know about you, but if he would be the last player i would select with that cv. Especially when the 2 games that you talk about, are not the other games that you dont talk about, where its still debatable if we did have 18 on the ground..He is soft as. ;)
