Heard a few whispers over the weekend.

First one was on Friday night, apparently Kosi is said to be a fair way off agreeing to a contract with the Saints for next season. I didn't know he was out of contract so it could be all crap and apologies if it is.

This is the second one regarding Charman from Brisbane at least this one has a little bit of substance to it as it is from the paper although you can't always trust what you read in them:
" The 25 year old is understood to have rejected a new three- year offer from the lions and is attracting huge interest among Melbourne clubs." - Sunday age

Could make for an interesting off season if they both remain uncontracted at seasons end. Hopefully Miller can get in a secure one of them. Although I find it highly unlikely that either will leave their current clubs it does prick your ears up a little when you hear names of this calibre mentioned as being possibly on the market.

Both top line players but I would be asking for a very intense medical report on both of them. Both are prone to injury and the last thing this club needs is to be giving up big things, by draft picks or cash for guys that miss a lot of footy.

Charman has already stated he will not be talking to Brisbane until the year is over. And considering Brisbane don't talk about contracts... i wouldn't be holding your breath.

Kosi is too injury prone so I wouldn't bother with him besides that we have to keep giving game time to jack and cleve to develop our own forwards.

Remind me again what is the title of this thread, pretty sure I called it player rumours and not players we are getting. This time of year there are rumours flying all over the place. Also I suggest you read where I said that I doubt either of them will leave their current clubs before you come in here and make yourself look completely stupid.

Kosi, as far as I know, is just a case of 'spin-managering' ... he'll stay. As for Charman I've heard it reliably told that he's almost a lock to leave and has told the Club so. Forget the PSD though as the Lions will try and get whatever they can on him.

Obviously you still have not read the OP where I stated that I doubt that either of these things will occur. The response I made about the PSD was stating that we don't necessarliy have to give up any draft picks to gain either Kosi or Charman as the other poster implied. Perhaps reading the whole thread in future will stop you from making a complete idiot of yourself.

I agree Warwick is a decent poster usually but on this occassion he missed the point. Nowhere has it been said that these things will happen. Merely relayed the rumours doing the rounds this weekend and stated that while it would be great to land one of these 2 that I don't believe either will happen. Then speculated as to a possible way we could land either player.

Not particularly. I've enjoyed it, thanks for asking. Certainly not long enough for me to be bothered going to the Brisbane board to stamp out all those pesky rumours. Damn rumours. I'll show them a thing or two.

Sorry to argue with you but I have it on good authority that Charman was insulted by the offer Brisbane put to him and feels that he is not really appreciated and that it will take a lot to keep him there.
The same authority also9 said that he does not want Brisbane to get anything for him so that would mean letting his contract run out and then nominating for the pre season draft.

There is however still a chance he will stay but he now wants about 20% more than he would have originally accepted.

NOW, before you go off your heads at me this is from a person who is associated with some of the player managers but I can not say anymore.
I have probably just blown any chance of being confided in ever again.
