Was watching the dogs and the dons today and every time, Easton Wood went near the ball, he was called, Easton Wood. 99% of the rest of the players are referred to by the commentators by their surname. This got me wondering what others players have their been that get call by their full name by the commentators?

Re: Players full names

Only those with interesting christian and surnames would have there full names called. Some people in life because of some strange x factor almost demand the use of the full name to address them. In Easton Wood's case I would suggest that the weird christian name seems to fit neatly with Wood though it is the directional 'Eastern' that fits with Wood rather than the spelt out version. The name in full rolls readily from the mouth, and could easily be a Shakesperian reference or even a Dickensian style name e.g. Uriah Heep. Some names demand more respect than others, as do the individuals that wear those names.
