If he was out of contract what would you want for him from us?

Signed a new deal a couple of weeks ago.

Without him we have no forward structure, so unless you can organise a deal sendind Tredrea or J. Brown to Geelong, we'll keep him.

Seriously, we would need something very big because he is really the only CHF we have at the moment. Even our backup would only be removed from the club if he wanted to leave. Until our younger kids are really ready Playfair is just too important.

If Cooky is smart, and Ive never said he wasnt H would be on a decent wicket.
I believe the pay scale is roughly equal for the top group 7-8 then down a bit for the next 7-8 say 280-350,000 *7 and 200-250,000*8, that around 15 players on 4.0M odd. Now although H has done probably less than some, he should be taken care off due to our shortage of option at CHF. He'd have to be worth a 3Y on 250 ave.min. wouldnt he.
I doubt any other clubs would offer him more at this stage because we are paying on potential and on our need. eg What do you think H would be on at Brisbane. With that in mind I cant see H going anywhere

I'm not sure that we'll have much room to be offering him to much of a bigger wage, but agree that he is important to our forward structure (or lack there of)

Id pay him 250K or even 300K for sure.

i reckon playfair would be pretty close to untouchable to tell you the truth.
like it has been said unless we got brown or tredrea or something like that in return he wouldnt be going anywhere.
