Just finished Batman VR.

What an awesome visual experience! Super immersive, and you find yourself getting caught up in the world of Batman.

How freaky was the end for everyone else? I was too scared to turn around not knowing what would appear next. It's super short, but for how good the experience is, it's well worth the $24.95 odd from the PS Store.

God dammit. Now I am afraid to finish it.

Finished it myself yesterday......i struggled :P

Some thoughts on the game near the end.
Opening the hatch to Joker's cell, FMD - Didn't think Luke Skywalker could give me the heebie jeebies like that.....:P Seriously though, a full Arkham Asylum game would be awesome, really liked the last 10-15 mins of the game.

Liked the post game stuff that's available with the Riddler stuff, at the price of the game, nice touch to extend the play-ability a bit more.

Bravo Rocksteady, any Batman VR game will be a day 1 purchase for me.

On a separate note, even though ive played a week apart, any nausea I used to have is pretty much gone, so that has been pleasing. Still wont touch any racing games though.

Interesting. I played Drive Club day one and it ****ed with me quite bad. That may have been causing I was spinning my head around like a mad man taking it all in though. Maybe now I am used to the VR I should give it a go and see how I go.

Is this something you have a history of experiencing or was it just with the vr?

Yeah mate, im pretty susceptible to pretty bad motion/sea sickness (boats on open water/rollercoasters) and some of the less intense games at the start (Bats included) got me a little dizzy, but now don't experience it at all.

Driveclub did me in pretty bad as well, which was disappointing as I was looking forward to using the combo of that and the G29, Until Dawn has its moments too. Might give it another go but these fast/forward motion experiences dont think ill get accustomed to.

It's an issue with PSVR, multiple people I know who don't have any form of motion sickness find the tracking to be very swimmy. I had a go the other day at a mates and it's pretty bad, particularly in games with solid, static backings.

Maybe I should try before I buy. I've never had any issues like this before but I've never tried anything like this before either. I wonder if anywhere in Perth has one set up.

Honestly even that is questionable.. A lot in the gaming press had it demoed to them and had no issue, but then couldn't replicate the same performance when they set it up themselves.

Still, that will at least let you know whether VR itself is going to be an issue for you in terms of nausea.

Its honestly not that bad.

It makes me a little nauseous (and I don't usually have issues) so I'm assuming it's probably pretty damn bad for anyone who gets sea sick or the like. It's definitely a lot more noticeable if you have some experience with other VR though.

Mate, I'm not discouraging you from posting and we should never share the same opinions, otherwise it's a pretty boring world, but i gave a clear direct outline of my experience to Beerfish in response to his question, as I've posted earlier this is from someone that has the capacity to get sick pretty easily on these things. Not sure why you're saying otherwise.

I'm sure everyone has different tolerance levels and my experiences shouldn't be used as the defining call on whether someone should purchase, but two people that actually own the device have given far less negative feedback than you have.

Based on your usage sounds like your mate doesn't have it setup properly, as the tracking to me has been one of the more impressive aspects of the VR.

Giantbomb, Waypoint and Nerdcubed all have issues with tracking and they are all savvy with VR so yeah.... maybe you are one of the lucky ones.

Also, I don't own any of the headsets so I don't have a vested interest, yet I've actually used them all so have some idea what's going on. Don't think that devalues my experience at all.
Not sure what you're taking issue with tbh, there have clearly been mixed reports on PSVR.

Don't have an issue and I'm sure there are plenty of buggy headsets like your friends one, but I was talking about a specific topic relating to those prone to sickness with the VR, if you're one of the 'lucky' ones and still prone to sickness; I think you'll be fine but will always reccommend to try before you buy.

If I win the lottery one day and can have the time/drive to constantly deal with PC hardware and software upgrades, I might look at other options, for the moment though I'm a very happy PSVR owner/peasant :)

The Call Of Duty VR thing is free, no CoD: IW needed if you are interested Ryz. Is it only the 2 of us that own one?

I would suggest looking at the smaller independent game developers for the short term. Super Hyper Cube, Rez & Thumper are the best use of VR i have played so far. Drive Club was very disappointing. Only because as a racer is was all image and no substance. The Kitchen - Resident Evil demo - OMG this will be a game changer for games that base them selves on fright. Hoping someone tries to development Alien-Isolation game that was released not long ago. The immersion the head set offers - sometimes closing your eyes in the only way out!!! As far as the debate about tracking. I had a little bit of motion sickness first time on Rigs. If you are find the motion controllers moving or tracking slipping - resetting the VR helps rather than trying to ride it out. Also getting a cleared set space and the correct camera to head set distance is a must. I have not been moved or giddy about the games like this soince i first played Mike Tyson Punchout on NES. This is the future of gaming, this i have no doubt.

Great because I have one on preorder and hearing all the hype is making me get excited about it.

I downloaded it just before I made that post.

What are you thoughts?

Big fan of it and i'm really excited to see what developers can do in 1-2 years time as they get more time to figure out the best way to use the tech

Batman is ridiculously good and is the best way to show off the headset. London Heist is also a lot of fun. I got zero motion sickness from wither title

Played a few with more movement and that made me a bit green (and i dont get travel/motion sickness in real life) So they need to do something for this to make it more appealing to the masses. But very bullish about what the future will bring

How open is it with regards to titles? Does it have Soundstage, Rec Room, Space Pirate Trainer? Not sure how apps are being licensed tbh, seems to be plenty of crossover with Oculus and Vive, PSVR obviously licensing more exclusives.

Call of Duty 'experience' was short as hell but ok fun despite being pretty limited.

Whole time I was thinking though, "gee something like this in a Star Wars setting is going to be insane"
