Can we impress upon people that the FIFA techincal report gives a big tick to Australias stadium arrangements so the AFL should not be a scapegoat, whatever happens.

I am optimistic but also very nervous. I just can't imagine us hosting a world cup in Australia. I would be disappointed but satified if the US win it (it would be a fantastic holiday) but if Qatar wins it the whole process is a sham.

I definitely am not as confident as some of the other pro bid people on this board. Hopefully they are privy to reliable inside information and it is not just false bravado.

Don't forget- he also claims he has inside information- if you're going to do that, name names, Checker- who is it that is giving you info? I know you said you talked with people at the WC in South africa, but the field has changed quite a bit in the last four months- ExecCo members, perhaps?

No,but I had confirmation of quite a few votes with the chance of a few more from 2 close sources within 8 hours at the time.
It confirmed everything our group has known for a while.The situation is fluid though
