Sure thing keyboard warrior. :thumbsu:

Im not a keyboard warrior.

I just cant understand why someone would start a thread about a female cop rolling her eyes at you when you asked her to sign a form.

Who cares?

If your so sensitive that you interpret that as "attitude" then mabe you should have "bust a cap in her arse". :rolleyes:

She was probably busy and you were probably rude to her to begin with. Acting like its your god-given right for her to sign your form.

Wow I've obviously hit a nerve :p

Haha they don't sit in a giant building with JP on the front, they don't even get paid to do it hence needed a proper job. My boss is a councellor and also a JP. Running a hardware store he is usually quite busy but always makes time for people needing shit signed.

I understand this, I've had JP's sign things for me in the past (generally go to the council), but if they get pissed off performing the acts of a JP, why did they become a JP in the first place? There is no monetary gain in it. I've also heard that to become a JP you must never have been convicted of any crime including speeding. Can anyone confirm this?

From the SA act:

8—Notice of certain information to be provided to Attorney-General
(1) A justice must, within 14 days after any of the following matters occurring:
(a) being charged with an offence (other than an offence that is expiable);
(b) the withdrawal, dismissal or discontinuance of a charge of an offence (other
than an offence that is expiable) alleged to have been committed by the
justice;
(c) being convicted or acquitted of an offence (other than an offence that is
expiable);
(d) being adjudged in civil proceedings to have acted dishonestly;

- Having never received one - a speeding ticket is an expiation notice I think, same as a red light ticket or a parking ticket???? (so i think you'd be okay if you were done speeding)

The Police in Geelong are useless as ****. Always a hassle to get anything done. Had to get my fingerprints done for my gamblers license. Got sent away a good 5 times, came in again and asked the bloke at the desk. He sighed, looked at the clock and said "I have 5 minutes before I knock off, come back again.".

I have no problem with people bagging police.

Just so long as you sign a form stating that you won't ring them when someone is climbing through your window to take your PS3.

I live in a small town about 30km from the nearest police station. There were a number of robberies in my town, and my house was robbed twice - I lost about $2000 worth of stuff overall.

I called the police both times - it took them 3 days to come down the first time. My wife and I didn't go near some areas of the house where there were obvious fingerprints, as asked by the station. When the cop came in, he got out his notepad and asked us questions for 3 minutes. He then started to leave and I noted that there were still fingerprints everywhere. He just shrugged and said 'It's not worth it' and left.

The second time we were robbed I called the police three times. Each time they said that they would get back to me and that someone would call to organise to come out. They never called me back, nor came out to take a statement, so in the end I gave up and got a dog to keep inside and look after my stuff.

Useless, lazy p****s who aren't worth the portion of my taxes that go towards them.
