OK kids, here's a challenge for yers: Name me some pop songs that have charted and/or received airplay in English-speaking countries, having at least one line of French in the lyrics.

Examples (excuse my '80s bias):

Ça Plane Pour Moi - Plastic Bertrand
Twist À St. Tropez - Telex
Fade To Grey - Visage
La Vie En Rose - Grace Jones
C'est Comme Ça - Les Rita Mitsuko

any others?

That awful song by Bill Wyman, excuse my french, was it 'je suis an rock star?' it translated as 'are you a rock star' or 'I am a rock star' or some such thing.

And Rod Stewart had some french lyrics in 'Tonights the night'

Is it me or did Edith Piaf sing a lot of songs with French lyrics ;) , I love that song BTW, she also sang Tu Es Partout from Saving Private Ryan (on the old gramophone towards the finale), also did La Vie En Rose.

a few others

Que Sera Sera "whatever will be will be" not sure who did the original
Las Parablas de amour - Queen- not sure if it charted
Lost In France - Bonnie Tyler-got a lot of ooh la la's in it ;)
Hands Up baby hands up - Ottawan- I believe is originally a french song, not sure if their is french in the translation though
Voulez Vous - Abba

and I'm sure Celine Dion would have slipped a french lyric or 2 into her English songs

Humiliation. I forgot a Blondie song. If anyone in the family finds out, they'll never let me live it down.
