Honestly dont think we've ever played that well. Given the oppo, to put up 94 points is gigantic.

The fight and persistence in the contest was huge. We didn't allow them to hurt us on the outside with insane pressure. The defence was pretty solid, and really great to see Brooksby whose had a quiet year, hit some prime form. However the key to the game was the fight in the middle, the great performance from the forwards to fight to the front, win their contests, keep it going forward and then apply some sensational pressure to lock it in.

Real team performance to shut down their outlets from our F50. Really solid ball movement all night. And some real good contributions from those outside weak links of ours. Particularly Boag with 2 goals!

The stars of our side shone like crazy, Tahau, Tilds, Dowrick, Gemma, Ash, just brilliant. Really loved Goodys game too.

Can not ask for more than that as a supporter. We will threaten the Crows if we can back that up. Definitely on the right track as a team, just need a bit more of an influx of outside talent.

Those Irish Gailic footy girls are something we need to explore, assume there outside of the draft as well.

I was listening to AA in the car before the game and they had the most bizarre commentary team. A guy who couldn't stop talking about Hawthorn and a woman who sounded like she might have played in a women's league in the 1930s. Half expected her to start talking knickerbockers and fashionable caps.

Not sure but they alway seem to talk up the other team a lot more than Port. I don’t watch AFLW too much but it is really apparent.

Helped that Hawks didn't have their main ruck for the game who missed with an injury and #2 ruck Vukic went off with concussion early in 2nd quarter, so Scholz dominated, and we took advantage of that and importantly kicked straight for goal.

Apparently was the highest scoring AFLw game ever, and the 2nd highest was from our GC game earlier this year.

Salary of the AFLW and the short season doesn't make it quite as appealing as it does in the men's comp to get an Irish lass to migrate out to Australia for their professional career.

But maybe a basis for selling it as a very well paid extended working holiday (a damned sight more lucrative than a stint in outback pubs or fruit picking )

I don't know if she does in game commentary at all, but Sarah Black seems to give us a good run on the AFLW website. Maybe she just gives every team a good run on the AFLW website

Theres 39 irish girls on aflw lists in 2025, we havent got one. So it seems to appeal to Irish girls as they move from the Galliec season to the AFLW season. Would hamper opportunities for local kids I would of thought.
