how are you guys feeling bout this game

we seem to always matchup well against port and we normally play alrite over there at AAMI (except for crows game 2004)

with wheatley back i think we can realli match it with their forwards

nicholson - tredrae ( tredders vs rivers would be interesting but it wont happen unless nicho gets killed in that contest)

rivers - 2nd tall, probably lade

wheatley or bizzel - shaun burgoyne

in the middle we need to shut down cornes and burgoyne

and ofcourse we need to do something bout cornes

he may play loose on miller and rack up the touches so if he does that we realli need miller to make an impact to sorta even things out

out forward line should beat their defence with neitz in good form and holland has gotten a bit of it lately

we win in the ruck

overall i think we have a really good chance and if we win this one, i think we are definate top 2

on the channel10/afl ladder and finals predictor..... i did it with us winning all games and with us loosing to port and winning the other 3

they give us a 1 and 2 finish respectivly (thats ofcourse the other games go 2 plan)

both ways point to us not having to play brisbane till grnad final if we make it and both ways give us a pretty easy route (vs port at G then vs saints at G is one option)

Lade will probably be required in the ruck so Wheats could get Thurstans.

Bizz on S.Burgoyne if Shaun plays forward.

Rivers on Mahoney I guess & Nicho with Tredders.

Cornes will prob pick up Miller & hopefully drag him away from the spine. Frosty's mobility must be respected & Chad can definitely go with him out wide.

We probably won't have to worry about Carr but P.Burgoyne got away from us last time, Heffernan to run with him.

Yes a big game this week I reckon we could get the win and stay on top.

Personally if S.Burgoyne plays up forward I would put Whelean on him I think he would be to quick for bizz.

Nicholson on Tredrae should go pretty good Tredrea usually gets plenty of touches up the ground against us but thats fine as long as he dosent get a lot in the forward fifty.

I think our midfield is better than theres we just need to shut down peter Burgoyne. White should Dominate the ruck hopefully.

By the way does anyone no where Thompson is coming back.

I'd say S.Burgoyne would be too tall for Wrecker.

Thommo will be back soonish.

True Burgoyne could be to tall for Wrecker but with Nich,Rivers,Bizz down there would help him out and he would have the pace to go with him and bizz wouldnt.

Hopefully Thommo back very soon need him for fantasy footy

At the end of the day we need a couple of things to go our way. We need our tall marking forwards to be marking. We need our midfield to put a stranglehold on theirs, and we need our defence to stand up and play the %'s. This is a true test for us, as Port will be very fired up to get the win as there just as hungry for the 1 & 2 spot. Home finals are everything. We have to finish 1 or 2 because i think a home final at the MCG is more important to us than we realise. If we were loose that first final we would be playing an essendon or geelong the 2nd final could put us out. These teams would be very hard to beat in the 2nd final.

we have definatly done well at the tribunal taking out some of the oppositions best players

i think that if Yze, Green, Bruce and Johnstone can have have goodish games then we should win

out midfield is better....especially since carr is out

P.Burgoyne is the one to watch along with Tredrea obviously.

heff is in pretty good form, hopefully he can keep him quiet

Let's not forget we need to capitalise on our chances and kick straight. It's all very well missing easy shots against the useless teams but when we play the top sides it's much more serious.

cant see u beating us here in adelaide -- and i dont think ul finish top having tuff games against not only us, but the blues and and the eagles in perth ---

i think melb wil fin 4th port and saints to fight out second and bris top

but thats just what i think
port do have collwood at the G which will be tuff and may well drop but time will tell -- good luk sunday !!
