Soldo would be in discussion as the worst recruit in AFL history.
Andrew Lovett is the worst recruit in AFL history. Soldo is ours though.

Trent Croad to Freo was pretty bad. They gave up pick 1, 20 and 36. Only for him to request a trade back to hawks 2 years later for pick 10. Picks 1 and 36 ended up being hodge and Mitchell too. Somewhat saved by Luke McPharlin being a 244 game player for Freo.

Wes Fellowes (not afl) and Cameron Cloke spring to mind. Just terrible footballers.
Wes Fellowes moved like a tree, unbelievably slow. To be fair at the time we lost Russell Johnston and David Hynes at the end of 1990 so we basically had nothing in the ruck.

Speaking of Gibbs, the Hell's Angels appearing at Crows training is still a wild story.
I can only imagine what the response would have been if they turned up at Alberton.

Jonathan Hay from Hawks to Norf.

mcleod for chris groom is hard to top
How Freo had inaugural concession rights to NT players to trade away, is beyond me.

I mean yeah. He finished 4th sure. In a team that finished 12th, behind such studs as Rory Laird, Matt Crouch and Josh Jenkins. Just ahead of superstar hugh greenwood.

And then next year he managed 12 games and retired.

For 2 first round draft picks wasn't it? Lol
Didn't say it was a good trade, but disagreeing with the statement that he was arse at the Crows compared to Cartlon.

His first year at the Crows was as good as anything he produced at Carlton, it did look like a good trade after one season. It's turned to shit because his problems from Melbourne caught up with him after that season.

I think the cows supporters expected that Draper being a high pick would walk into their side and fix all their midfield problems ... but Draper can hardly make the team (and they think they picked wrong when drafted him). Now because of this they are now looking to 6ft+ Dan Curtin to cure their midfield problems

but I could be wrong on this
