It's not reversable. This is what it is now. May as well be T20 football. Even the eagles after their catastrophic loss were in the rooms like ah well. Played footy, got paid.

I remember going to the rooms and post game functions and the players would be so ****ing grumpy after a loss and now its just some social gathering and a giggle.

There is just no emotional investment. Teams arent a thing anymore, its just a bunch of well paid blokes playing a football game for money and fame, not the glory or each other and the supporters.

What Koch did to Port, for me, is worse than anything the AFL has done to the game and to the competition.

Agreed GP regardless of any financial expertise he may have, the single most important reason for the club's existence (ie consistent on-field success, and the respect gained from that) has been replaced by kok turning the club into a forelock tugging, never challenge the over lords, turn the other cheek franchise that would have the genuine Port Adelaide administrators from our illustrious past spinning in their graves.

I'm still unsure of whether he was an AFL plant sent here to put us in our place in the pecking order with his ridiculously demeaning `little old blue collar club from Alberton' BS, is totally incompetent (or a combination of the two), but as has been pointed out regularly by numerous posters on here the mob down the road complain publicly and loudly every time they believe they have been unfairly treated, and until we get a chairman with the balls to do the same thing nothing will change, and we will continue to be treated as a make up the numbers club!

So all week it was about the renaissance of the Wet Toast (after 4 years of high draft and priority picks) and how Mitch should be looking at them with envy (even though he's contracted at Port until the end of 2027).

They've just been shallacked by 22 goals on their own dung heap... and somehow the AFL thinks it's a good idea to bring in a whole new club to dillute the talent pool even further.

Sure should be 4-0 but we've gone full rebuild at the same time as a full gameplan redo.

On top of that we've named the 2nd most inexperienced side on average and the 4th youngest team across the first 4 games. Even our list feels wildly inexperienced, in a few weeks we could be bringing in Moraes, Lorenz and Cochrane too only making our baby team even more baby

I'd be pissed if we were middle pack in either of those two things but we're not. We've been also digging deep into the depths of our list already

nah this is a bit pants pissy, just because you've aged out of the game and lost interest a bit. it's also very early in the season, and the afl have ****ed around with stupid shit like opening round making it hard to get invested. plus we're staring down the worst oil crisis since the 70s.

the passion is still there, you can see it in big games, we've just got traumatised and hinkleyfied so you dont notice it with us so much.

Eat some choco eggs people , lots in bad mood by the read. Main issue is there is a 2 tiered comp and the crowds know it. For many the season is over already and unless your in full rebuild mode with some talented kids to watch, then its hard to get pumped during a game.

I will be more excited next year when we can watch Dougy, Mitch and Whitlock working together with a couple of higher end talents coming thru with our later picks.

It’s only going to get worse once the talent pool gets stretched even more when Tassie enter.

I watched a quarter of our game maybe. Kids were in fine form so couldn't sit down. That would have annoyed me badly once upon a time but didn't really mind. I saw Mitch G take quite a few marks on the lead but then saw in the stats 2.1. Was I tripping or did he just not convert?
