Where's all the ****heads now who melted about Dixon over Jamieson?

This is the point of playing unknowns. Granted he needs to back it up, but most of you had him chalked up for delisting.

Let the selectors make some crazy calls, it might be the little joy we get from this season.

**Jamieson over Dixon. On my 7th GnT leave me alone

Sadly, i think it is time for JK to step aside. He is loved and he is a legend but the game has gone well past him. Not a contributor anymore and struggles to kick a goal under pressure.
Looks like Pavlich in his last days. Skilled enough to still kick the odd goal or 2 but mostly a non contributor.

He kicked 4 just last week. Kicked 3 in our only win for the year, including at the start of the last quarter to give us some real belief.

JK is on the decline but still better than anyone on our list to replace him. Had trash delivery tonight, was seen in the defensive fifty and was playing on a pretty okay full back Henry... Harry... Something like that.

Agreed. Darling to FF, Waterman to HF. Rotate Jamieson/other ruck through there

Positives:

Jamieson's 73 Dreamtime Points is the highest score an Eagles main ruck has scored this year. Pretty good for a second gamer.

Broke even in clearances

Tackling seemed much improved

Negatives:

Players clearly have no idea what to do when they win possession. For me, it's the most frustrating thing to watch

The biggest reason he is getting trash delivery is because he isn't putting himself in positions to be delivered to. Rarely leads anymore and when he does he gets almost no separation on his opponent.

A game of some slender slender positives for the future in amongst what was always going to be a brutal slog.

Positives
  • Jamaine Jones. On ball or half back, don’t care, get him involved forever.
  • SPS. More time on ball please.
  • Jamieson showed more than I thought he would, worth backing him in for the year just to see if he’s anything or still delist fodder.
  • West and Florenca tried so hard. Nice fight from them, is what it is by way of skill level but can’t fault the effort.
  • Hurn great, especially early. Means nothing for the future but nice to see a veteran stand up.
Negatives
  • Can’t move the ball from back to front at all. Nature of the beast in a way, with the midfield we had there, but having to push JK and JD into the back 50 because we’re incapable of winning the ball makes transition footy impossible. Can’t kick a score like that.
  • Ryan is too good at footy to do all the Walters non footy bullshit. What a shock that when he plays, he plays well, and when he acts he acts terribly.
  • Port won. Dirty dogs.

Tough season obviously, and it won’t get easier. Embrace the ride, look forward to the rare high picks and hope that some of the younger options can
Good signs:
Jones, Jamieson, Winder, Florenca, Ryan

Crap: Darling, Redden, Cripps, Rotham. Kelly looks out of touch. Hurn was great, but this will be last season for him and JK.

I hope this does not mean vermicelli will be back.

We miss Allen, Sheed, Nicnat, in form shuey and Yeo

It's going to be a lean few years!

One thing that I always found funny was how badly they’d crucify Shep. You’d come into our votes thread and he’d be BOG, then the ratings come out and he’s third worst on ground.

I’m yet to work out what it likes, because Foley did a couple of nice things and a few pretty expansive kicks, but beyond that I saw very little from him and can’t fathom how that’s his career best game.
One thing these ratings can't measure is shut down or tagging roles.

Shep would often go to a forward in career best form, and make them non-existent for four quarters. Easier for fans to spot that.

I know that the defense was under the pump all night, buy i thought Duggan was garbage for the majority. Fumbly, hack kicks, no composure... Probably harsh, but i just expect more from him.
He was trash. Sold his team mates into trouble time and again feeding a handball to them with someone right on their hammer. One of our worst.

He literally can't though. We only got like 22 listed players to pick from. He HAS to keep playing. I agree if we're towards the end of the season and we actually got a list of players to pick from.

We are utterly lamentable.

The club did everything to try and shut the game down, bogging the stoppages and parking the bus behind the ball, completely sacrificing any notion of attacking intent.

The wet weather worked to our favour, providing a heavy, slippery track not conducive for scoring and the opponents were on a night where they were far removed from their best.

Yet we were still smashed by 75 points.

Tonight's score of 30 is the equal 5th lowest in the history of the club.

2022 now ranks as the first time the club has had multiple matches with a score of less than 35 points in the same season.

Those sub-35 point scoring matches have also occurred in two of the last three weeks.

Over the last four weeks the Eagles have averaged just 44 points in total and lost by an average margin of 83 points.

We look unfit, slow and panicked in possession in every single position on the ground.

Just disheartening to see how rapidly and calamitously the fall over the cliff edge has been.

Awful, awful Football. Below WAFL standard.

Also the best effort we have mustered in weeks.

Definitely an easier watch when the Lads are cracking in.

Brissie looking pretty good. Would have been another 100+ drubbing if it was dry and they decided to get out of second gear.

Mountford comes on plays 21 minutes, annoyed neale and got 8 possies… he isn’t out of place out there. Again these blokes are better than alot on our list
Sure but they are not guys you have in a premiership team. We need top end talent going forward the push the game forward to advantage us.
