Crowley could cost the Dockers a flag, not sure how he can change the umpires perception of him but clearly they hate him and his scragging tactics and are prepared to pay any iffy maybe free kick against him.

His tactics are questionable IMO and umpires could crucify him in a pressure game like a GF

There were 4 or 5 free kicks given against him that were all at best 50/50. The push in the back was ridiculous, and he got caught retaliating after he copped an elbow.

"White game" or something along those lines (no racist).

We did it last year against Port too. I'd love to blame the Vics for this one but it was a club initiative.

Fair enough. I have a great aversion to the white clash guernsey. The Dockers should scrap it and use their green training guernsey and add purple chevrons. They are the only club in the league that uses green. Same as the Eagles, scrap the white clash guernsey and use the yellow peril instead.

I will stop here because this thread is certainly not about guernsey's :p

Yep, and i reckon in a final that umpires looking for control will do it again, and guess who is probably going to get any iffy frees against him ( IMO)

Yep, Lyon was outcoached, overall class (Fyfe) won the game.

Should come under a bit of scrutiny IMO, and not just for tonight. There's an element of uncertainty that's crept into our game, and it's not simply due to a total lack of player effort. We allowed Carlton a ridiculous amount of space.

Fyfe was huge. Barlow and Ballaz good.
Not sure if I'm alone here but I'm concerned about the form of David Mundy.
Not alone. He's been below par for a good part of the year.

Negs
- Crowley got owned by everyone and is looking shakey.
- Mundy is lacking class
- Pearce is lost
- No brains being used in when to pressure
- whole team is down in confidence.

Pros
- Fyfe
- confidence can come back quickly when your the underdog
- we scrapped out a win when the chips were down
- Barlow getting his hands dirty again

RTB saying we didn't get the rub of the green and that has been happening for a quiet a while now.

Obviously very annoyed by the umpires.

Positives
- Freo showing absolute class before the game started by honouring the 3 members he died in the MH17 disaster.

Positives
4 points
Fyfe
Barlow

Negatives
Umpires - ****ing piss weak
D Pearce - ****ng woeful
Pav and Mzungu injuries
Crowley - crucified by the maggots
Baz and Darce - 2 of the worst morons I've ever encountered
Biased commentary - yes, that's right, they were ****ing biased

I love that Ross has finally broken his rule and spoken against not getting "the rub of the green."

People underestimate what Mzungu brings to our side. He runs and runs and gives options to present. With Hill just back in and trying to find his feet, the loss of Mzungu was massive.

And yet we found a way to win.

Positives-The negativeness in the commentators voices at the final siren.
Negatives-A game going down to the wire against a bottom eight side.
****en disgraceful.

Carlton is not playing like a bottom 8 side at the moment. They should have beaten Geelong, took it right up to Hawthorn and beat North (who has beaten all of the top 4 sides this year).

There are a lot of players who are down on form and it is hard to say why. In someone like McPharlin's case he looks just about cooked, which is sad.

But Mundy looks slow, fumbly and reactive. Ibbotson ain't all he is cracked up to be on here - but he's had some good moments and he's doing just enough. Mayne is playing ordinary football, and it has gone on too long to ignore, thought he lifted in the last which is promising. Crowley no longer has that clamp style yet is still being watched by the umps.

Pearce has his moments of class blended in with utter dogshit. Tonight's match was in the dogshit basket.

By the same token, I thought Suban was good, Spurr did some nice things, Sandilands was excellent when it mattered.

Mundy had quite a few clangers tonight. Not sure what's going on with him.

McPharlin looking more and more likely that he'll pull the pin at the end of the year.
