The positive was the win. A smashing win mind you. The kids were devastating, loved Neagles mark in the first quarter. Reimers in the last quarter was good and the overall effort. Go Bombers.

So many positive but standouts for me, because it was conversion of potential to performance , were Reimers , Monfries and Neagle. To produce on a big stage against the hated enemy was sweet indeed. The team's response when challenged will do far more the future fabric of the club than any dubious benefits from getting one or two higher rungs in the draft pecking order.

real positive for me was reimers and some of the other young guys like myers play really well.

i've noticed evr since the adelaide match where gus played on mcleod, gus has been really good, probablly his best form.

ive been waiting for him to become like this and now im really glad.

another positive. all our more experienced midfeilders like jobe, stants and welshy performed really well

I was so proud of my boys last night. I felt this match like not many others having $300 on Essendon

4 NAB rising stars this year or next IMO.

Monfries - OH MY GOD - This kid is being underrated so badly that its just incredible he has it in all aspects of the game when the confidence is up.

Myers - Has the body of a player that has been in AFl for 4 years, not 1. Passes like a king and rarely fumbles under immense pressure.

Reimers - Enough said, and I always liked the boots.

Neagle - Played a handfull of games and just looks so powerful and quick, great hands and one of the best kicking styles around.

The whole team came together today, can you imagine a fit and improved side?
Welsh is becoming a prettier version of Ling now

I haven't been this excited about our side in a long time. It is finally going places, with youth leading the way and not the old boys like it has been since 2000.

I don't want to get to excited yet because really we haven't beaten anyone. But I do think the list we have at the moment will take us places without having to rebuild anymore.
