While there is Dean Solomon, Andrew Welsh, Mark and Jason Johnson and Kepler Bradley running around, I won't be getting stuck into Reynolds.

Remember at the start of the year, Sheedy was saying that players won't be getting cheap games anymore. Well there is 5 players who are. McPhee is getting close to.

Couldn't agree more. With the Solomon, Welsh, Bradley sentiments. I'll be bagging them alot more than Reynolds. These blokes are passengers. Bradley is a spectator. A spectator who can't kick, mark or handball. And don't anyone mention Welsh's possessions or stats as a defence. He gets cheap possessions and uses the ball terribly. Of his possessions he'd be lucky if a third were positive.

Think you are hard on McPhee though. I think he's been good this year.

Only positive I can draw is the form of Jobe.

Looking forward to some decent draft picks, but would much rather pick 2 than pick 1. Cannot handle the thought of a spoon.

Correct.

Can anyone come up with a positive?

No. We lost to a side who was the pre season favourite for the spoon. We are a clear last and we are carrying too many blokes. Not much we can do. Keep trying the kids as they put there hand up. Hope we do well out of the next draft (and no this isnt a push to finish last so we get the 1st pick) and work from there.

Positives - Bryce Gibbs or James Sellar?

Seriously,

We need to officially write the season off and go for the youth. Dyson needs to stay in the side for the rest of the season otherwise he will go the way of a Winderlich and be a fringe player. He needs to go into next season an important player for the club, not still with question markes over his head.
Speaking of Winderlich, him and Reynolds(played in his rightful position) need to be given serious game time so a decision can be made on their futures. Same goes with Jay Nash and Courtney Johns. Get 'em in there and make a decision on them. I know nobody wants to admit to looking forward to getting the cream of the draft but as everyone knows, it is a stellar draft lineup and that along with Monfries,Lovett-Murray,
Watson,Bradley,Stanton,Dyson gives us a good nucleus for the future. Didn't mind Dempsey's short game time today either.

There we go. There's a positive. Chose to carry the ball and break the pack a few times today. And if you had your rose coloured glasses on he looked a bit like Judd.

I'm very happy with Jobe this season, would like to see Ricky play the rest of the season.

There is no doubt if Rick gives us what he gave today every week he wont be out of the side.

Well I see them week in week out as they both play senior football for Glenelg. They both played in the Ireland series. Sellar is already 195 cm and has been used up forward for Glenelg. He booted 4 goals on debut in round 1. He is very raw but has the talent and size to be anything ala Riewoldt.
Gibbs is a rare talent with a very mature head on his shoulders. Played league for a large part of 2005 as a 16 year old. He can do it all. Has exceptional skills, can play a stopping role (he shut down Cupido last week). Theres some stuff on last weeks game and a picture of him against Cupido in the below link. As for who is better, I'll wait to see them a bit more this season and our needs as a team will determine who we choose if both were to be available when we have a pick.

Thought Dyson played one if his best games for the club today, winderlich as usual used the ball very well and is improving each week along with the other young players.

Positives, well there are several.

Hillie is a good Ruckman
Watson,Dyson,Windlelich,Monfries,Ryder,Stanton,Lovett Murray are all very good players.

I think we are a little harsh on Walsh and Reynolds.

Bradley can't kick, but Lucus can't handball, and that has never hurt him

sure we are on the ropes, but we at Essendon will return.

Lucas can handball fine, he just doesn't do it much.
