I'm surprised. I was at the game today I would have thought Mark Johnson was one of your best did alot of good work off the ball, gave away a few stupid free kicks as he was throwing his body on the line but was decent all up. BTW didn't notice Solly what so ever. Thought Mcphalin was probably your best held his own down back and looked good up forward. Bell's mark bodying out Josh Fraser was hilarious, and Grovers hit on Rusling was one the best I've seen.

I thought Mark Johnson and Gilmore were 2 of the better players for Freo. While everyone looks for negatives I think they will be among the first picked next week.

Look, Macca and MCarr were not superstars today, but it seems everyone here only wants to blame them for this loss, and I reckon that's mightily unfair.

For mine, it was our so-called stars in JCarr, Taz, Michael Johnson, and the second tier of Peake, Schammer and Solly who cost us today.

The usually sublime Johnno coughed it up ad infinitum, and JCarr, Taz & Solly were rarely sighted.

I refuse to believe that Palmer/Ibbo/Mayne instead of Macca/MCarr/Mark Johnson would have altered this result one bit.

The difference is Nodgey that Palmer and Ibbo's best is on par with Matt Carr and McManus at their best. Atleast we know that Josh Carr and Michael Johnson can be very good players so we need to keep them in the side.

If Palmer and Ibbo had played instead of Matt Carr and Macca we would have probably still lost, but the young blokes would have gained invaluable experience. Lets hope atleast one of them plays against the hawks.

For a thread that was supposed to be about positives I'm disappointed with the majority of you. Thanks for trying to see the bright side Esti.

Happy Gilmore was excellent. Was with Cloke every step of the way and found heaps of the ball when we had possession. Tucked the ball under his arm and hard and straight through the middle on at least two occasions. He only just missed out on snagging one of my BF medal votes.

David Mundy looked at home in the midfield and played very well. People will forever say that he dogs contests, but I challenge everyone who watched the game to go back through your tape and pinpoint a contest where he didn't do his best.

St Peter confirmed that all of the Worst's journalists are idiots. Not news to many people.

We arrested their momentum quite a few times before three quarter time. They kicked a few consecutive goals on a few occasions and we managed to get back on top.

Roger Hayden is still a genius. The definition of consistent.

Although he was beaten on the day, Antoni Grover saved our arse quite a few times with some great spoils and great contests at ground level.

Josh Fraser got outmarked by St Peter :thumbsu: :D :D :D :thumbsu:

While he was on, I thought MC Schammer was pretty good. His decision making and disposal are not as bad as most would have you believe. I reckon he's got an injury concern though, because he spent lots of time on the bench.
