2. Pav finding his long lost golden boot.
3. Silvagni playing his best ever game for the club.
4. Mellington looking like he belongs.
5. Top games from Broughton and Palmer.

Were you there? Nothing special?? Crikey!!! Mate he was like having 2 Deboers.

Agreed. His stand out feature was pressure. Last year he was one of the most accurate kicks on goal in TAC Cup. If he had hit the 2 in the last 1/4 then evryone would be going nuts. He showed more than enough to keep his spot.

I know brissie had a few important outs but what impressed me is how we stood up in the second half with a team largely made up of young/ inexperienced players. Ok pav, duff, mj, Hayden, keps and Crowley are all 25+ but look at the age and experience of the rest!
That impressed me

Mellington's debut was very encouraging. Great attack at the ball and didn't appear to panic.

wheras Pitt looked abit lost and not quite up for it yet(due to his size) I thought Mellington looks a player tackled and competed well and looks to have a beautiful left boot,,,,,even though he missed a couple of goals in the last(no orphan there)
Whilst not been over impressed with Jono's form early this year,he has played a lot better in the last 3,his effort to make the contest,recover and goal in the 3rd was excellent...hope he continues in this vein.
Silvagni was fantastic from the get go and really surprized me ,i thought when McPharlap went down so did our chances of winning.
Rodger was also a plus and looked cool under pressure.
Big Zac was very competative in the first half and laid some good tackles for a big bloke and his ruckwork in the second half was great.
Pavs best game since early on this year,ditto Broughton.
Hinkley and Pearce both guilty of the odd brain fart but did some good things as well.
Fyfe for the Brownlow,absolute gun....imagine in 3-5 years with Morabito,Mundy,Hill,Pitt,De Pig and Barlow all running around together
