So which players from each teams NGA is a real possibility to be picked up this year.
Obviously from North there is Thomas, but what other gems is there?
The best one from Adelaides NGA is Mihail Lochowiak.
He has all the athletic ability and has been playing reserves for Sturt with good results. Is in the SA U18 sqaud this year.

Quaynor has had a lot of talk about him, he’s looking very solid as a defender that can play on smalls and talls.

The other is Atu Bosenavualagi from Oakleigh. Small forward who brings the pressure. Hope we take both.

North have 3 in the initial Allies squad, Thomas, Mansel & McGuiness.

The latter 2 look like potential rookie picks at this stage.

Could just read Twomey's article.

We also have Tom Medhat. He has had some good WAFL colts games and is in the WA 18s squad playing as a 190cm medium forward / utility. I am actually intrigued to see what Freo do with him and whether they pick him because if he was not NGA I would assume him to be a late to rookie pick anyway. Having said that, he plays a role that we are in need of and surely the effort put in at the NGA would justify us taking him unless he has a poor attitude or something that is a fatal flaw to a possible AFL career.

Surely he would be worth a year on the rookie list? From reports, he seems to have made significant improvements this year, which is a big positive for any player.

Bailey Wraith another that Cal Twomey has mentioned as a decent prospect but someone else said he's probably rookie chance or will go undrafted.
Hine didn’t sound overly hopeful about him when asked on the road to the draft. Said he has a lot of development to go.

I am looking forward to not only mihail lochowiak getting drafted by the club (fingers crossed), but in the coming years daniel sladojovic and james borlace are ones to watch. Sladojevic in particular looks very promising
Hopefully the latter two become first round prospects.
With Fogarty, Himmelburg and McGovern we have the makings of a good forward line but another developing KPF is always welcome.

Irving Mosquito is likely being picked up by the Hawks prob later in draft, lively forward from Gippsland

maybe a rookie spot for Ben Cardamone from Eastern Rangers

Port has access to Kai Pudney (half indigenous, half Japanese) and Martin Frederick (born in South Sudan) from Woodville-West Torrens

Good chance we'll list them both as Category B rookies, maybe a late pick for Kai Pudney

Frederick really underrated , I think a bid will come in around 30+ .

Doubtful on both.
Mozzie will cost more than most think from what I’ve heard, his ability to pick the ball up at speed is fantastic. Raw, but talented.

Port has Frederick and Pudney who are in the late / rookie / not drafted range.

If they are picked in the main draft we can match the same as father / sons, northern academies.

If they are not drafted in the main draft does anyone know the rules?

I assume we can automatically take them with our last rookie picks as per father / son, northern academy?

I assume there is no facility to match a bid in the rookie draft? If we want them but hope they are category b, we just wait and hope no-one else selects them in the rookie draft?

There's no bidding in the rookie draft. So we can sign them up as Category B rookies. I think we have to wait until after the pre-season draft, but that's highly unlikely to happen. So in practice, after the national draft. Like we did with Emmanuel Irra two years ago.

Thoughts around Pudney? Won Best in u18 comp and seems to find it easy accumulating. Rookie pick?
