I know we are still in finals but the afl behind the scenes are already drafting possible fixtures for 2024 including gather round which may be in round 4.
I have seen a draft of round 1 that they are considering not set in concrete of course.
Give me your thoughts also anything you would like to see for your club in next year's fixture.

AFL reportedly weighing up shock change to Round 1 fixture for 2024 season

We could see Round 1 split over two weeks next year.

Reckon we could have a bit of a shake up next year, as the AFL are considering allowing both NSW teams to host matches a week before normality in Round 1 (aka Round 0) while the NRL are playing their 2 marquee games in Las Vegas and the rest of the league teams having the bye.

If so, something like this format could occur for around 1 (keeping in mind, Marvel ain’t available to be used either):

Nothing more certain than Geelong requesting to start the season infront of the new stand at GMHBA against "Big Victorian opposition" which translates to Essendon because they love ragdolling us every year.
