possible backline players available

What do you guys think are on the list for our future. We are looking good in the mid-field, forward line maybe one other player with us would be great... but if we get 1-2 key defenders to carlton we are a great chance in the coming years....

what players could we get to fit this role?

Get this guy !

I know the golden rule is not to trade first rounders, but hypothetically if the finish the season off with 8 or 9 wins and end up with a pick 6-9, I would trade that directly for Rutten and use our 2nd rounder on the next best available KPP.
Perhaps try to snag another 2nd round pick with a trade.

Austin is the great white hope to fill in at CHB in the future. Waitey is doing a decent job, but I feel that he would be perfect for us up forward.

HB: Bower Austin Thornton

Tall, but not too tall. Plenty of run and plenty of grunt. Looks great in a few years. If Austin doesn't kick on as we all hope, Waite at CHB is the obvious choice at the moment.
