Possible MAJOR glitch with AFL Live 2004

They've stuffed up on a lot of things.
Marking is shocking. You can't move a chosen player into a better position or they'll either fall straight to the ground like being tripped. Another thing is if you try to take a high mark you will most likely be taking it on no one but they still use the animation as if you have jumped on someones back.

Classic matches use players from today and would have been nice if they used players from those matches. The 1970 GRand Final uses today's Carlton and Collingwood players, come on, Carlton wouldn't have a chance of doing that with those players.

Oh, and this is from the AFL Live site
AFL Live 2004 Known Issues (PS2 and X-Box)
Season Mode - In season mode, changes made to a team's line up prior to a game will not appear in the game. In this mode the game will override any changes that you may have made to your team's line up and automatically select the best non injured players before the game starts based on the player statistics (Please note that injured players will be automatically replaced with a player of similar attributes).

Please note that you can select Team Management from the “Pause” menu in a game and make changes to player positions, which will take effect immediately.

Single games are unaffected by this. In a Single Game you can select any player from your team list and the person will play in the game.

More updates about the game will be available from www.afllive.com.au as they come to hand.

They should do what EA Sports is doing in America with Madden 2004 and send out new games to everyone who who purchased it because it had a bug in it to do with the roster and importing college players into it from NCAA 2004.

Another bad thing for essendon supports is that Joe Misti weights 150 kilos in this game.
haha! he has put on a few not close to that though

very disappointing error they have made there, if i had known that this problem was in the game b4 i preordered the game i probably would not have done it

Although this would be very costly, it might help keep some customers who probably wont give Acclaim another thought after their shocking errors with AFL Live 2004.

thats ridiculous, i assume you are all paying 100+ bucks for this game and it doesnt even work properly. you'd think the DHs would make sure it worked b4 they released it...

Imagine the size of the game if they put in all of those extra players! Admittedly it would be nice & accurate grounds too, ok I know i'm dreaming.

The "Perth Oval" stuff is probably to do with licensing rights. Why call it the Perth Oval at all anyway? Just don't mention the venue!

The marking is harder, but I agree the fact you can't move your players around in the contest sux.

On hard this game is actually hard, but easy is still laughably easy.

I like the Mission games, they'll provide a challenge. You can customise them to an extent too.

Liked the accurate Wiz Cup rules, love a good 9 pointer (Rigoni, who else?) The proper Wiz Cup Guernsey's were a bonus too.

Overall the game is better, but not better enough!

That's what I reckon they should do. If most people who have the game with the problem bombard Acclaim with the problem, they will have a mass recall of it.

They did it a few years back with WWF No Mercy on N64. The game had a major problem with the save game, and they posted on their website a mailing address to anyone who bought the game where you could send the game back through the post, and 3 weeks later you'd get the game back with the problem fixed. Like evade28 said, they should have noticed the problem before they sent the game out, so any monetary problems would be their own fault!

One question, does the crowd sound like it is at least half interested in this game?

One answer, no.

Anyone else notice that when you are Port Adelaide or against Port that all there names are wrong. Its amazing like they call Stevens, Pickett.. etc.

Very annoying. They havent finished it yet..

Yep it is unbelievable. Burgoyne is called Cassisi - basically every name is screwed up by the commentators. And Port are always on the bottom of the ladder. The creators mustn't be fans.

I like the mini games in AFL Live 2004, the superkick, around the world and the handball competition are good fun.

What a joke... basically I was gonna buy it... but I saw this thread and the others within this forum telling of this bug, and long story short - my $100 is staying in my pocket.

The Acclaim people are thieves. They may as well have just put an empty box on the shelves.
