Looks like the club has finally committed to individual post-goal songs for all of our players this year. This should improve the atmosphere at home games and get a lot more people making noise/singing/moving when we kick a major, instead of that hideous post-goal sequence of the trumpet sound followed by silence that we've been running with for years. Below is a list of 2025 post-goal player songs I noticed. Let me know if you notice any others throughout the season and I'll update the OP.

Some of the guys don't get the importance of selecting a song the mass audience can sing along with...rather than just a song they like. Angels is a perfect example of the right song choice.

I just want the trumpet back.

The recording , not that live crap

Agreed. Chelsea Dagger should be a good choice for King as well. I just hope the crowd catches on early that it's really important to sing the 'through it allllllllll, she offers my protection!' part in Angels when Ainsworth kicks a goal and the 'DOO do do DOO do do DOO dadoda DOO' part when King kicks a goal. These are songs that are designed to be sung along to and can be quite emotive. This new format should really liven up the fan experience at our home games and I really hope the other forwards have chosen very singable songs as well. I can deal with defenders and mids having so-so post-goal songs, but the the forwards are non-negotiable. Anyone that's been to a Brisbane Lions' home game in the last five years knows what's possible with this format and that's really exciting from a fan experience point of view.

Well, I hate post-goal music! I love music, but not in that footy context. I also attend 4-5 Lions' Gabba games each year, and do not enjoy their post goal singalongs. I felt the Gabba had a great footy atmosphere before the music....the Gabbatoir!
The southern end Suns fans try to get cheers and chants going, but are often drowned out by "Make some noise" then music turned on before they can!

They just gotta learn to time the chants for when the music dies down - no point fighting it

If only the River End Renegade cheersquad idea had of taken off we might have been able to get the plebs in line.

You guys ready to cue Chelsea Dagger on Saturday when Kingy inevitably kicks another bag of goals in front of a raucous home crowd? Pretty interested to find out the goal songs for players like Walter, Long, Read etc. Should be a fun day of goals and songs. Hopefully the crowd catches on quickly and we get a sing a long going.

As much as a healthy dose of Dagger will be required.

I'm kind of seen to see multiple unique goalkickers so we can fill in that table of whos got what

I'm just envisioning comment sections signifying a King goal by asking to Cue the Chelsea Dagger🗡️ once everyone catches on.

But I agree with what you're suggesting. I'm also very curious to see the songs that other players have picked. Probably fair to say that if we kick 120+ points again then we'll see a good amount of players hitting the goalscoring sheet and we'll be able to fill out the OP more. I have no doubt Chelsea Dagger (King) and Angles (Ainsworth) will be hits with the crowd once they realise they're supposed to sing-a-long and I really hope our other forwards have upbeat sing-a-long songs too.

OP updated with this info + what I saw today. Let me know if anyone caught any other songs.

The three PBC boys are obviously having a bit of fun with Carly Rae Jepsen - Call Me Maybe (Walter), Paramore - The Only Exception (Read) and Village People - YMCA (Graham). Touk choosing Michael Jackson - Bad is elite, though.

Anyone catch Holman's song today?

Thought the crowd started to catch on to the Chelsea Dagger after Kingy kicked a few today. Was great to see.

Chelsea Dagger was going off in the 3/4/5 of kings goals.
How good was it! I'm glad the cameraman found the group that were fist pumping along to the song. I think that helped the crowd get more into it. It's going to be a wild atmosphere when Kingy kicks a big goal in front of a sell out crowd against an opponent like Collingwood and they drop the Chelsea Dagger on us all.

I do remember seeing that and it gave me hope. Once it really takes hold it's going to sound like Darts crowd

On that thread - Surely one of the boys has picked Chase the Sun. it's far too perfect.
