I almost died at birth, having been born with an unusual thing with stomach. basically most of my stomach organs were twisted and wrapped around each other meaning no food could be digested. at a day and a half old they did an experimental surgery - like, my parents were told not to expect me to survive it - and reconstructed my entire stomach by putting the organs in the right place. so far as I'm aware it was the first time the surgery had ever been done. 23 years later, here I am.

I had viral meningitis when I was two. Heaps of weaker and softer kids die from it.
