Seriously does Australia Post service these things?? I have this one going around my area delivering the mail etc and fair dinkum i can hear the squeal of his brakes from at least 3 blocks away and as he goes past the house and it will wake up my youngest child if he is having an afternoon sleep.

It has been like this for ages and i am noticing it more as i am on holidays now and hearing it everyday around mid afternoon and it is as loud anything and annoying. FFS can't they fix them so they don't squeal around the streets everyday at 90+ decibels.

They must come as standard on the bikes. The postie scooting around my area has the same problem with his brakes, probably doesn't help that he tries to hit top speed between letter boxes

We have 3 bins .

My postie has the same problems with his bike. At least it lets me know when the mail gets here

Postie bikes are like American cars in a multi-storey carpark - they're just made to sequeal.Doesn't matter how fast or slow they go,they always make a loud sequeal when slowing.Our postie was de-sequealed for a few months late last year but now he's back to normal.Perhaps he had a new bike and he's now worn it in.

About 5 years ago my old man was reversing out his driveway when a postie came flying down on the footpath right into the side of his car, did not hear it coming at all! Perhaps they added the squeal shortly following

Actually a few posties get taken out by reversing cars, seems they are too dumb to slow down & check if there is a car coming when crossing a driveway.
