Can we win this one? I think we have a good chance, but must keep up the physical work. We need a lot of run too, considering sydneys game plan...
Power by 22 points.

We should go well. I'm just worried that it'll be a M19 special: one of those that we win decisively in the third quarter, then spend the 4th frittering it away. Maybe we should bring Poults along. :)

But we ought to be able to run out a game by now -- and the SCG is just small.

I think caution is the order of the day. I think we can win but we should take nothing for granted.

What a difference a week makes. We can easily field a competitive team, but this time we know they can come out switched on.
Meanwhile Sydney has the problem associated with poor Stuart Maxfield to act as an ongoing distraction. They almost dropped the game against a struggling Essendon. They can't win it, we can only lose it.

Well said.

Jolly and Ball are big ins for us, but it means Goodes may not play in the ruck, starving us of a lot of clearances. Davis is a bad loss, especially with Williams still out.

McVeigh should come in for Spriggs, Bevan or Roberts-Thompson.

I want to see Stuart Dew taking all the kick ins.

Just one bomb straight into the forward line.

We should definitely NOT be bringing back the likes of Kingsley, Shattock or Cochrane this week. The SCG is quicksand for players who like to kick it wide. Down the guts is the only way to play the ground. And Salopek and Eckermann at least do that, even if they aren't as hard-bodied or experienced yet.

We must also play with the same desperation as Sunday, no easing off the peddle. And play FOUR quarters, not 2 or 3 YET AGAIN and hope it's enough.

If we do all of the above then we'll win. At this point though I'm tipping Sydney - it took me more then a week to become disgusted by our players attitudes this season and it'll take more then one match to convince me they've all got their heads straight - especially Chad if he returns this week.

We're all a bit burnt by the last few weeks. But I'm tipping Port.

This is definitely a danger game for Port, but it's certainly very winnable. Hopefully the win against North will give us just the confidence we need. I rate the Swans highly but I don't think they're going that well at the moment. They're missing Maxfield, Williams, Ball and now Davis. Some of their blokes are underdone. We're missing blokes too obviously, but I think we can better cover our losses.

We look better down the spine than them so the game plan should be simple - don't pussyfoot around - kick it straight up the guts. Hopefully Tredders will have his kicking boots on. Chad Cornes is a big addition. Port by 28 points.
